You should have had STO in the lineup this time. Since you didnt I was feeling sadisitic and picked Allods to give you hearty grindfest.

I picked Allods too for the exact same reason. Lol

Nothing too unusual on the list. I tend to go for those. Would have liked to see something like Perpetuum maybe. Was that ever a CMA winner? Can't remember.

I picked Allods simply because the last time I tried it (just a couple of months ago) I found it still extremely grindy and filled with even more obtuse game mechanics than when it first "launched" a couple years back. It still seems to be brutally punishing anyone who doesn't spend money in the cash shop, but maybe that's just me.

Be interested to see someone else's take on the game, especially one that couldn't bail after a couple of hours and has to stick it out.

Do champions, you should hit max lvl by your first posting! Only problem would be selecting a "class" as you can make pretty much any build. Got a tank that has skills from 8 different trees

I also picked Allods. I just was re-trying this myself a couple of months ago and found it to be much improved over the initial release, and very accommodating to non-cash shop players like myself. But I'm completely done with DIKU-style MMOs; I made it to level 22 and quickly lost interest. I'm curious to see how different players will feel about the game.

I'll just go with Everquest 2 based on what you mentioned in the podcast. The descriptions make them all sound viable choices, but I'm interested to see what EQ2 is all about.

@valdi313

If you want to mobilize the community, a thread over at the forum of your game of choice always winds up deciding the victors of these polls. Just saying.

@Eliot Lefebvre
Just finished listening to the podcast this morning....
So, I would go over and start my movement, but I'm still working on saying your last name out loud....can't get used to that silent "B"....

Saying the silent "b" is easy. You don't. It's silent.

I picked Ryzom because I wanted to know more about it.
Right now Lotro is ahead - wtf? Turbine put that one out in the mud and ground it in with their heel. Is there seriously anything felt to hear about that game?

I figure a good thing to do would be to somehow pick CO or DCUO and compare to what you like/know about CoH. For the moment, it seems like DCUO has a chance.

Other choice based on Podcast would be EQ2...and what most people say; pick an relatively obscure game, like Ryzom or Allods or RoM so that we can all see.

Honorable mention though, should be Free Realms, since you never tried it out.

I wasn't going to vote until I saw Johnny Cash on the list.

Johnny Cash is straight up the best male vocalist, ever.

EVER.

@Wispur

I'm surprised and pleased to see how many fans are coming out for Johnny Cash. It brings me palpable joy.

I had to go for dark horse candidate Ryzom.

And given how weird Ryzom's world is, only the cockeyed pop sensibilities of XTC could suit. (Though I wouldn't be the least upset if The Man in Black won.)

I went for Ryzom as I would be interested to see what it like, even though I have no time for any new mmo's at the moment and I am just barely keeping up with the ones I have.

As for the second part there is only one vote I could possibly make and still be able to look at myself in the mirror ..... Johnny Cash all the way.

I voted for Ryzom and Johnny Cash before ever reading the comments...

I really do hope Ryzom wins, though!!

I wanna see Ryzom. It looks kinda interesting, second choice would be Allods, just because it was awesome in beta.

Picked Ryzom too because I want to see what the game is like past the tutorial considering the rest of the game is NOTHING like the tutorial area, lol.
