The House of Crom is basically the Hyborian equivalent of Duke Nukem Forever. It was announced quite a while ago, it was expected long before its actual arrival date, and at long bloody last, it's finally on its way to an Age of Conan server near you.
Thankfully, that's where the similarities end, as the new dungeon is looking quite impressive -- if Funcom's marketing blurbs are anything to go on.
The latest such features a few paragraphs of textual description regarding the Threshold of Divinity and Vile Nativity dungeons (the House of Crom isn't just one dungeon, but rather a massive new area that supports multiple groups and amounts to the largest indoor dungeon that Funcom has created to date). Head to the official AoC website for more info, including screenshots of some of the new armor available throughout the instance.

PLayed it all of last night and it is bloody good :) I had some guildies in there 10 hours staight yesterday trying to figure out all the clues and bosses.
Stunning looks and terriffic fights and puzzles.
They do get things messed up a lot, but when Funcom get it right, can't beat the feeling.

I may have to resub and check this House of Crom business out! I like how Funcom is rolling out updates and content releases. This game just keeps growing and improving, at least PvE wise. I also like the idea of delivering content in smaller chunks rather than having to wait months on a full blown expansion. I still haven't gone through Turan and now there is House of Crom. From Tortage to Northern Grasslands this game is humongous, backed with quality content up the ying yang! And it is all done in DX10 with the lighting, motion quality, gorgeous art work, attention to detail. Funcom has done this Conan IP right.
