Star Wars: The Old Republic's next big update is live on the game's public test shard. BioWare says that the 1.1 patch is chock full of bug fixes and is "the first of many content updates" for the sci-fi MMO.
New stuff includes a level 50 Flashpoint (Kaon Under Siege) and four new bosses for Operation: Karagga's Palace. Also of note is an anti-aliasing option in the preferences menu and a correction for the problems plaguing Kira Carsen's affection conversations. The full patch notes are viewable on the official SWTOR website.

@edgecrusherO0 : apparently, not only is it acceptable to launch a PC-exclusive AAA title at the end of 2011 with no AA, it is so UNacceptable to call attention to this that you must be downrated into the palest grey-on-white imaginable for doing so.

@(Unverified) Perhaps number 7 should be an improvement from the worst customer service ever in an mmo???

They're still not commenting on the texture issues with this game. Currently in the live game setting textures to High instead of Medium makes no difference. Hell, the game will reload quickly if you switch to Low to Medium textures... but not if you pick Medium to High.
I've been running on high since the start and I've been wondering why the heck so many textures are so blurry. It's because "high" does nothing in game -- although people have noticed the high textures seem to be used in cutscenes and at random intervals.
Bioware's answer to this in the test servers has been to just remove one of the texture options -- it only offers Low and High now. High is the equivalent of our current Medium.
I'm not sure what their reasoning is (probably performance for users who shouldn't be using high in the first place), but the reaction I noted above is not the proper one. These textures exist, they were present in betas and I wish they'd us use them.
