the only way to improve pvp is to redesign the entire game.

@(Unverified) I disagree but they do need to take a look at the amount of CC/snares/etc distributed between classes when compared to their dps/healing/DR. There are some abilities that can hit for large amounts of damage which can be spammed for all intents and purposes.

There are big differences between Republic/Sith. One major is the Consular & Inquisitor ACs and their project/shock. Project does not apply damage instantly (even though it is supposed to be instant cast). Project has a casting time because of the animation of the ability.

Sooooo because someone didn't do this in beta they are doing this now at launch, and since they are doing this now, chasing bugs, they will most likely with a smaller dev group to forget that they have level 50 players who are rightly complaining because of a lack of end game content LOL sigh, this is like when WoW was in development and the heads of blizzard were getting used to being an mmo company. Why don't these companies learn from one another like other corporations do?

Yea other corporations learned from each other very well, hire billion dollar ceos of dubious worth with multi million dollar bonuses for being fired. Go with all high risk high reward strategies and hope for the best...

Does that mean these 50s are still getting used to being MMO players because never in the history of MMOs has there been decent endgame content at launch? I wonder why these people never learn from each other.

There are not THAT many bugs, massively is exaggerating anything they can say is "bad" about SWTOR as usual.

@Valentina
The perfect example of a defense force droid.

There are a lot of bugs/glitches in swtor, most of them are little annoyances but there are some that require attention and as it seems they are fixing one or more as I type.

And I actually find massively to be very positive about swtor and from what I read on Justin's blog he is really enjoying the game, as he should it is a fun game to play :)

I don't think Massively seems biased for or against SWTOR.

The one bug I don't like is when you hit an instant and it doesn't do anything right away.

Yeah - they need to put up some kind of bracket system or hueristic to even out teams a bit more during a warzone match. I've been PvP'ing quite a bit now for the last few weeks - and any team that either 1) has more 50s on it versus a none 50 team will usually own the other team - and it isn't fun being the victim or 2) when a team is obviously from one guild versus an ad hoc team - that too isn't fun, since the organization - likely on vent will own an ad hoc non-organized match.

And at least on my server - the reason why Siths are winning so much is simply because in most matches - the toons are higher matched. When there is some equal levels than the fight gets interesting.

I also like the fact that deaths are not so instant in the game - i.e. you don't get so much stunlock - one shot crap you get in so many other MMOs. It should take a bit to take down a toon - not a single assassin sneaking up from behind you with his buddy ready to blow you away once you're stunned. That ain't PvP - it's moronic I win button play.

@EdmundDante apparently you haven't experienced good scoundrels ..the stunlock/dmg is absolutely ridiculous. 8-10k+ dmg - from stealth - before i can stand up from the initial knockdown. I am 50 in decent starter pvp gear plus a cpl real nice pieces - i only have 12k hp. I'm not really calling for nerfs or anyhitng, i think it will calm down once people start getting properly geared up, but to say it doesn't exist in this game is not correct. Other than that, i agree that the longer time to kill in swtor is nice compared to most games - especially in low lvl pvp.

ps: protip ad hoc=pug in mmospeak :)

-Almost every FP/Operation boss has a 1 or more bugs(not exaggerating)
-Randomly die after getting off speeder taxis
-Delay on instant casts
-Officers/Guild Leaders can't right click/whisper guild mates
-Broken daily quests that can't be finished
-Operations bug out causing us to have to reset, resulting in respawn of trash
The list could go on..but why bother..

I can't believe this game was in beta for over a year and it came out like this. Don't get me wrong, it's fun. I like playing..but the bugs are just never ending.
