Spacetime Studios, the developer of popular mobile MMO titles Pocket Legends and Star Legends, has announced that it has begun work on a new mobile game following the Legends format. The new title, about which we know virtually nothing aside from the fact that it exists, is called Dark Legends. Ominous, right? DroidGamers reports that Spacetime Studios CEO Gary Gattis has stated that "Dark Legends will be a bit of a departure from the formula that Pocket Legends established as we innovate on lessons learned." So there's clearly a new twist to the studio's standard gameplay, but we'll just have to wait and see what that twist may be.

Ooooh, sounds cool. Space Legends' play is significantly more polished than Pocket Legends, IMO, so I can imagine how nicely a newer MMO will play.
The funny thing is I have a buddy who works for Space Time and I asked him a week or so ago if they intended to revisit Pocket Legends and polish it up to the same level as Star Legends; lessons learned and all that. Now there's a press release about a new MMO building on lessons learned.

I think we need the gaming world to make a resolution for 2012 to stop using the term "innovate". I've never seen it used to describe something that was even close to innovative.

Hey there 8[)
I really think STS is innovative, because their games can be played on both smart phones and on personal computers.
For example: an account called 'Merry' was made. Merry levelled up on Pockets Legends by using her smart phone. She is now level 99.
"Oh noes! My phone is missing!" Merry agitatedly shouted. How can she play PL now? By using her laptop of course.
She doesn't have to start from level 1 when stared playing on her laptop, because PL in computer is not separate from PL in the smart phone.
Computer gamers and smart phone gamers are brought together by STS.
Don't you think that is innovaive? D':
