I got a GeForce 560 TI. It came with Arkham City, and Assassins Creed Brotherhood as a bonus.
It was a huge improvement over my Radeon 4850, at least. I went from 30-40 FPS on medium in TOR to a steady 60 on ultra in the most bogged down of areas - over 100 in lighter areas.
Too bad I bought Battlefield 3 for console, hrm...

Got a Collector's Edition of The Old Republic from my girlfriend. Having a blast with my Jedi Shadow. One of the best MMO launches I have experienced so far. :)

Usually no. Last year, I got cataclysm and TWO 60 day game cards, but that is abnormal. Most years I'll get gift cards to local tech/game retail outlets, so I can buy what I want. That works pretty well.

My kids got Skylanders and I think if I had that when I was a kid, I never would have gone outside again. What a genius idea to combine action figures with a video game.

Yeah, it is really neat! I think it will be one of those hits of this year; at least I saw empty shelves in many places I went to.
Although, they haven't come out with all the figures in the collection and I am wondering what they will do as a sequel.

Built myself a new gaming rig. Rest in pieces 4 year old gaming rig. Started out playing some Rift to break it in and bought my copy of SWTOR about 45 minutes ago. Santa was good to me this year.

No I never receive gaming gifts and never give one.
I think gifts should be something else than games.

I got Dark Souls. I have four hours to myself after I get home from work and I have to choose between SWTOR and dying a whole bunch. It's a surprisingly difficult decision!

Dark Souls is a great game! It takes some patience and persistence and will frustrate the heck out of you, but when you finally beat a boss or area that you've been stuck on you will pump your fist in the air and shout with glee. Not many games have that affect on me anymore!

Well, I bought most of my main gifts for myself and immediate family, but I have a bit of time for friends' gift-buying.
I also consider the SWTOR CE I bought as a gift to me. I was going to go "extra crazy with fries on the side" and buy the special SWTOR keyboard and probably the headphones, but no place near me that I looked at had them in stock and I didn't even see that they were in stock.
I need a new video card; mine works well, but it is getting on. I have been trying to hold out for this "promised breakthrough" I keep hearing about, but it has yet to materialize, so I might just settle for a 580 high-end card and be done with it.

Got a BestBuy card and a Gamestop card. I was in front of BestBuy at 8am the next morning to pick up SWTOR.
The Gamestop card went toward SOE cards that I cashed in for double points. (double Station Cash promotion ends tonight, I believe...)

I bought myself a copy of SWTOR so that was sort of my only gaming gift so far this Xmas. Other than that I got clothes and a blu-ray collection of 'The Pacific'.
Ahh to have some of my childhood Christmases back!

Yes I got SWTOR but luckily they let me have the early access before Christmas. But then I was surprised by receiving 2 SWTOR game cards on Xmas Day, one from my GF, one from my sister - among other things.
Regardless, I have 134 days of SWTOR! I'm soooo happy. #nerdgasm

My son bought me Skyrim.
My wife was going to give me SWTOR but we agreed a week or two ago that she'd get me something else instead and I bought it for myself - just in time for early access, as it happens!
