Eligium enters closed beta today -- get your key from Massively!

Did you participate in our exclusive early access to Eligium last weekend? If you loved the game and can't wait to log some more playtime, you're in luck. Eligium's closed beta is starting at 8:00 p.m. EST today. We've got you covered on beta entry -- Frogster has given us 250 closed beta keys to share with you, our readers.

Just head to our giveaway page and pick up your key. Register on the Eligium home page if you haven't done so yet, and then you can go to the redemption page to enter your key. That's all there is to it; you're set for download and launch!

You'll have plenty of time to play and content to experience, as the closed beta lasts until January 18th and has a level cap of 45. Make sure you take some time while you're installing to check out the closed beta forum, and have fun in Eligium!

I would but who has time with SWTOR out!

@aberent Those of us who live in parts of the world (most of it) that SWTOR isn't available, even if we wanted to play it :P

Just a warning, I registered an account for this game and began receiving unsolicited spam shortly after from various unsavory companies. It was an E-mail address never used with any other company, or given to any other person, so I know it was due to registering with Eligium.

@Plastic Are you sure that's the case? I receive tons of spam from 'unsavoury' people every day, as does everyone else, but I've always thought that was my fault for having an email address in the first place.

All I can say is that I created the email account months ago simply to reserve the name. I never used it for anything. The only people to even know of its existence were me and the Gmail team. Over those last few months I've received a total of 3 emails, all from Gmail. I used the email to register for the closed beta of Eligium this past weekend, and now I have spam in my spam-box. It could just be a coincidence, don't know for sure, but I'm just throwing out a heads-up.

I like testing new games and Eligium seems interesting.

beta key aint working for me says its been redeemed? or invalid??

it gotten slammed from other players. basically, don't bother with this game. its terrible. don't waste your time.

Yeah, I was actually excited about this game, and the graphics are pretty nice, but the game is just terrible.

Yikes... thanks for the head's up. Happy to save the download bandwidth. It does look nice. Should have trusted my unwritten rule to never beta games that are going F2P. Keys were already all used up but I registered on the website... kinda wish I didn't per the previous comment about them selling your address for spam.

Forget to check when i registered, is the an active nda?

I lulz'ed when I got an email for this beta with a giant panda front and center - trying to steal WoW's thunder!

Having said that, there was absolutely nothing that made me even make the effort to click on the link. Looked like another absolutely terrible Asian grinder translation with nothing new to boast. I don't there was even a single line of text in the description that I hadn't seen before on the descriptions of half a dozen other absolutely terrible Asian grinder translations.

@Manafront : Noooooo... because WoW's pandas have caused more comment, abuse, breast-beating and general newsworthiness than any other panda since Ming Ming became the first giant panda ever bred in a zoo in 1963.

Wow, keys went away like crazy in a few hours and I missed the call. Anyone knows if there's any way to still get one? cheers.

This game is so badddd, but bad, bad, bad, don´t waste you´re time downloading it...

Eligium is utter crap. No character customization, rampant enemy pop-in, lame controls, etc.

All around terrible.
