The game is very buggy. Textures are missing in a lot of places and the Guild Functions are broken. At the server Prophecy of the Five, if you don't log in by 3PM your wait time is of 50m . I think that is unacceptable. They need to fix that up by adding new servers period. People are paying a subscription for a reason, for a service they have to make available.

But...

Other than that, we have been having a lot of fun in the game. Yesterday we went Republic Hunting (think of it like wabbit hunting) and we had a ton of fun. Granted, the republic we were capping were between lvls 27-34 were a bunch of chickens. We never did see a lot of republic players unless we went past north the Outlaws Den.

We also tried to go into Anchorhead, but the desert in between gives you "Exhaustion" and you can't cross it. So we set up camp on the second camp and just dueled Republic or shot'em.

Much fun.

Considering we have been getting every Datacron in the game from the beginning until Tatooine most of us are lvl 30-34 in one week, with my professions being Slicing at 400, Scavenging and CyberTech at 270 each I think in another week easy will make 50 with the rest of the professions at 400. Like Rift this game lets you level pretty quick.

But it is VERY FUN. I can't wait till we can just go on Ops (Raids) on Open World PVP.

@badr1B

I haven't had 1 single texture problem since beta.

Maybe you shouldn't have chosen a decently populated server when you started out. Many of them didn't have queues before they took the servers down. It's the first week of a game most of us will play for years. Move to another server or man up and quit whining. Btw, they are adding new servers. Hell, they say they're adding new servers IN THIS ARTICLE. But, obviously you couldn't be bothered to actually read the article before posting an uninformed rant about it could you?

Please, not another whiny self entitled baby that thinks an MMO service should be 100% perfect for them at all times because they pay a measly $15 dollars a month. When you're a little older I'll explain to you how the world works and that it does not, in fact, revolve around YOU.

I love how you got down rated for mentioning things that were/are wrong and that you didn't like. Even though you did mention a lot of things that you did like, the fan boys are down grading your post left and right. Sad puppies.

Should see my laundry list of things I think that are wrong. lol They'd really go ape shit over my list.

Did you read his post past the opening sentence? He LIKES the game, and yes it is buggy. do NOT go to Taris untill they fix the problem that causes your charactor to be frozen at 1 frame every 5 seconds without being able to escape. that is no fun

@(Unverified) Enjoy throwing your money at an IP that's pretty much all there is to the game you've chosen. The one thing you didn't notice tho is that it IS supposed to work 100% at launch or do you think that 4 years of waiting wasn't long enough for them to fixit? And this is without the fact that thousands of subs equals millions of dollars of revenue. But i'm sure that people like you will still be throwing their money away long after WoW died and was replaced by yet another IP game that doesn't innovate. In six months time when they STILL haven't released new content for one excuse or another I'd love for you and people like you to remember back to the comments you made like these and know how wrong you were for not requiring that companies who you are paying should be held responsible for not delivering at all times. Lack of content swiftness, lack of concern for bug fixes prelaunch, and a miniscule amount of innovation will be all the reasoning i need to keep far far away from this game, and while you're still waiting for content launches while they try to tell you it will be in a delayed expansion, I'll be enjoying myself on the game title that actually cared about what i was paying for, GW2. Enjoy.

It should also be noted that the game client is unavailable. no installing the client until after launch. I wasted my money preordering today at work.

You know that the pre-order and release are the same price, right?

@Laren I didnt know that. I thought that I was charged an extra $5 fee for preordering. If the digital retail game is the same price than I dont feel so bad. I also found the link to preload before launch which is why I wanted to preorder anyways. its in my post below.

Well, I got my copy from Amazon today, so I got myself all ready. Subscription done, code redeemed. Hopefully people won't make my server full.

I understand why they brought the servers down to make sure they were ready, but it's a long hard wait...

I put in my preorder just before going to work, good thing I did as the entire network is offline for launch. Anxious to see how the crystal affects the colors of blasters and sabers.

The color change is ok. A color is a color, really. And when almost everyone else has the same color as you because they all pre-ordered, well that kind of takes away some of the charm.

But the stat it gives (+4 endurance) is very nice and better than anything else you'll see for a good number of levels. That's what makes it really worthwhile at this point.

So far TOR has been a large dollop of fun. I love the game world and the character creation, but as others have mentioned the game success, or failure, will be measured in its longeity not its initial peak. I say this as a vanilla WoW player - doubt I'll grow really tired of WoW as I have many years (typing that made me groan out loud..) investment in it. I do however see TOR as a good game, worth sticking with, at least for the first 6 months, to see how it plays out. For now, I am a happy customer, looking forward to more game time. There are a few bugs of course, but when WoW came out it was buggy too - people tend to forget this when they wear their nostalgia glasses.
