Great interview, thanks. :)

I love the butterfly motif in a number of the mesmer's abilities shown thus far and the color purple. Something different from what I usually see.

@(Unverified) I concur! The new representation of Mesmer certainly has a lot of stylish flair!

@(Unverified) Nothing quite drops testosterone levels to such dangerously low levels as purple butterflies.

Apparently.

@hassaun2006 I'm a guy, and Mesmer has been my main since I started playing. It will continue to be my main from here on out. :)

I never thought this was a "shōjo" profession only.

@hassaun2006 gah I never thought people would be offended by my statement. it's just hard to feel overly macho when your attacks are causing little butterflies to flitter all over the place. That said, I look forward to melting face with a mesmer come release.

@Lenn Like Bart Simpson says, nobody ever suspects the butterflies!

Let alone the butterflies that aren't even there.

@Lenn I'm a guy that not only absolutely loves mesmers, I have no problem saying I love purple butterflies too. As a matter of fact, I even love this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9IhxG3PT04 about purple butterflies! Now what?!

Was always disappointed at how the Mesmer art implied that the class would have a mix of magical and martial skills, but ingame the only time it was "viable" to actively use a sword was with an Illusionary Weaponry build. I always loved the idea of "spell-sword" characters and the new Mesmer looks to deliver in spades. This and the Guardian are the classes I'm most excited to try.

@Ehra I always thought of them as the bard class in the gw franchise. I mean even their costumes and some of the characters are theater based lol.

it's always refreshing to see how when you offer your opinion in a venue designed for the very showcasing of opinions, if your opinion differs from the group's, you get attacked for it, lol. *eye roll*

@hassaun2006

You didn't get attacked. People were just having trouble discerning your intent and so asserted very strongly their own position to establish that one possible interpretation of your statement isn't cool.

Also, don't worry about downvoting. People do that by reflex, but upvotes tend to rebalance it if you clarify yourself in a calm manner. :)

@hassaun2006

Psychology, works that way.

Hell I wanna play a Mesmer just to destroy those who are offended by purple, and butterflies! Honestly planing to play warrior as my main, I know I will be raging when I get killed by a mesmer, so I know I am not the only one on that boat. That being said, it's going to one of those "Are-You-F***ing-Serious?" moments. Maybe more of a shocker, that you were killed by pink, and purple butterflies, than how "lame" or "girly" that is.

It's just one of those things, like water in early video games, it killing you blows your mind!
