It's time for another episode of This Week in MMO, and the focal point of this week's episode is none other than the freshly launched Star Wars: The Old Republic. Gary Gannon, Mike B., and Mike Schaffnit share a conversation about the staggered launch, the early start, the newly announced grace period, and much more.
Of course, the world does not revolve only around SWTOR, so the guys also take some time to highlight other goings-on in the MMO world. Warhammer Online will be merging servers once again, which does not forecast a sunny outlook for Mythic's PvP-focused title. Also on the table is talk that the gradually less sane Richard Garriott will be returning to work on the Ultima universe. What could this mean to MMO players? Well, click on past the cut and find out for yourself.

Got to lvl 10 today before work in SWTOR. I also deleted DC Universe Online this morning. DC Online was fun but man it got empty once SW came out. I was waiting forever earlier this week to get a group for a RAID.

@Korrd you arn't abbreviating anything, and its not a trademark, its just: "raid", not: "RAID".

I'm having so much fun in SWTOR. I have to admit I have not had this much joy since lets say the start of World of Warcraft first came out and maybe TBC Exp... I'm having so much fun enjoying it like crazy I have almost 40 hours and near level 25 and taking my sweet time enjoying the game..
Amazing!

I just remember seeing a few ads for Rift on some websites and thought it was just one of those crappuy free to play facebook games. Sadly, I'll probably be telling my grandchildren one day about UO adventures that I remember like they were yesterday. Will be my 'I used to walk 10 miles to school in snow' story. Except it'll be 'You try playing a online game on a 56K modem and having it lag out in the middle of a dungeon, then it catching up and you're dead and all of your gear is being carried off by other players.'

I don't understand how the SWTOR beta can be said to be fun. Nothing I have seen from it indicate any fun to be had from it.
The speeder sequence (moving between places) looked fun until I learned it all just runs on automatic.
