Calling all cars -- all three million of them, even. Yes, that's how many players APB: Reloaded now claims, which allows the game to crack into the top ten games being played on Steam and places it second on the list of free games. That's definitely a big impression, one that couples nicely with the game's recent release of a boxed retail copy with several bonus items for first-time or existing players.
According to Rahul Sandil, SVP of marketing and business development for GamersFirst, "[GamersFirst] recognized the potential for APB: Reloaded to be a true breakout hit in the Free2Play category all through beta testing." The game's new Fight Club gameplay mode hasn't hurt the game's popularity either, which is all pretty good for a game that originally set a record for its quick shutdown. The future of APB: Reloaded remains to be seen, but the present is certainly looking bright.

That's awesome.
It's not everyone's game, and it's not flawless. But I'm really glad to see this one pulled back from the dead and doing so well.

What is fight club? I got frustrated with the normal game when it was first free because of the disparity between levels and equipment. Nice to see more things on steam though as it is my preferred method of download.

@(Unverified) Basically it's like Battlegrounds in WoW but different. There are 2 smaller maps you duke it out in deathmatch or territory control style missions. It's a lot of fun.

@(Unverified) the disparity is not in the equipment but in the skill of players...this game is different from BF and COD games...you can't just kill everybody in one good shot.
The long time to kill a player makes this game very different and it will take probably around 50-100 hours until you will get enought experience to have a slight chance to beat the really good players.
Fortunately now there is a lot of new players who have no clue how to play...so it won't be that hard to win and enjjoy the game a little bit more. Also the matchmaking system will give you enough players to just zerg the other team (if the team is good) so depending on the mission you still might have a good chance to win the mission ...although you will die a lot.

@StClair
Nah, me and my friends uninstalled because there were two of us that had really bad lag issues as well as the gear thing.
Mostly it was us as newbs doing a mission and getting sniped repeatedly by a group we never really saw. Wasn't very fun even when we weren't getting our butts handed to us in that mission.

Tried it the night it popped up on steam, was okay but just meh overall. Always like urban combat maps in games so it held my interest for a few hours but haven't loaded it since then.

If you speak Russion it's great, otherwise be prepared for a struggle.
