While Runescape isn't exactly the most aesthetically pleasing game,
the sheer content that is available is far more then any game out today, with updates always being added.
It was my gateway RPG and to this day I have not found a quest system in any MMO that is as engaging and challenging to theirs, I plan on sticking around on this game for some time :)

@Natester21 Funny thing about their quest system is that it really packs a ton of "things to do" without having to move around a lot. I've explored everywhere, but my main activity is STILL filling out the starter Lumbridge set of quests! lol I'm getting close to having it done, then I am moving on to the next city.

Your point? Why would you continue to get a service after you stopped paying for it?

@(Unverified) Which is one of the reasons I find it hard to go back. I don't want to outright just hand them money to check it out again, but my old account has all this stuff he can't wear, quests he can't do etc. Kinda sucks. Overall it's a damn decent game, though.

Runescape was my gateway MMO and will always have a special place in my heart....although grindy, I loved the quests in the game and by far is the model I will judge a F2P game by.
