Today, we invited people who had pre-ordered up to the very beginning of October (roughly). Tomorrow, we're going to be inviting the same number of people again; that will take us up to the last week or so of November. On Friday, we'll be inviting even more, and we'll give you an update on that tomorrow. That's good news for those who pre-ordered late and who otherwise might have thought they'd have a much longer wait.
You'll see more servers coming online tomorrow, and almost certainly there will be some queuing. That was always expected. As a reminder, our plan here is to maintain healthy server populations post launch, and during the excitement of launch that will mean queues. That said, we'll be working hard to keep those queues reasonable.

As long as I get in on Friday, I'll be okay =)

That's probably the main reason why they moved the early access up by two days. It allows them to open the doors for everyone by end of Friday so that all pre-order customers get the full weekend to play.
Such an approach makes a lot of sense since it then staggers the player base more. By the time Tuesday arrives, most of those who pre-ordered will be off the starter worlds and mostly through with the capital worlds as well.

@aurickle Plus, by starting it 2 days early, that spreads everyone out so the starting areas shouldn't be too crowded. I'm just glad I got in on day 1, I had no issues with the starting world, never had to wait for a mob or item to respawn.

I haven't really followed the forums since the game came out, but I'm guessing there's a lot of self-entitled suggestions (masquerading as appeals for equality) that boil down "let me in because I'm an impatient child." Am I right? Is that why SR has to reassure everyone?
Considering the first day of early access wasn't originally until tomorrow, I think they're doing pretty good. Sounds like even December pre-orders will make it in by Friday, maybe Saturday at the very latest. Not bad, especially when the reigning belief was that they'd only get a day or two.

I had to stop reading the forums or I was going to try and reach through my monitor to slap some of these people.
One day a company is going to invest time and money to make a game (great or otherwise, depending on your tastes) and people will be respectful and kind towards their efforts to make people happy...and then the world will come to an end.

I just want my pre order access to the forums while I wait to Friday.
Why did they insist on having EA/Origin to handle purchase while they would handle customer support? The whole thing is more complicated than it had to be.

I'm in. On a semi-heavy server. No problem finding mobs, and start areas have a good amount of people but nothing overbearing.
Other than that?
Extremely happy with my purchase and having a blast so far. Not to bring WoW up, but it has a WoW at launch feeling (which is good), a new world to explore and everything seems new, fresh, as well as magical.

I wish they'd stop saying that all you had to do is pre-order.
I pre-ordered at the end of July and never noticed the small sentence in the gigantic email receipt that I received that said I had to enter a code into the SWTOR website. I only found out about that last week when I got sent an email on it. So instead of receiving early access as if I pre-ordered in July, I receive early access as if I preordered a few days ago.
Rough stuff. I'm on a few sick days for the first of the winter flu's and I could have used a bit of bounty hunting to make me feel better.

For future reference, all pre-orders that grant any kind of benefit are going to also have some kind of registration code. It's the only way that the company can tell you've bought the pre-order and so are entitled to the benefit(s). It doesn't matter what game it is; if you pre-order, be sure to look for that code and the instructions regarding where to register it!
That said, this is the first time I've encountered a pre-order where the benefit is different for those who register their codes at the earliest date.
Still, I've always made it a practice to enter my pre-order code at the first opportunity so that I don't misplace it!

While I understand the reasoning for the staggered approach, I'm not a big fan.
Mainly because at 10 at night here on the west coast and all servers are "regular" or "light" and I know I won't be going to sleep for at least another 4 hours and am locked out it makes me a little (selfishly I know) annoyed.
Nov 10th gets in I hope tomorrow.
