I love PVPers. If anyone was going to break the game in the first day it'd be them.

@Amlin Levelling that way is pretty smart. They can skip all the crap filler quests and just run the class story quests back to back (which is actually really fun -- stopping after every quest to kill 10-50rats x5 breaks the story's momentum).

"Two, our plan is to continue to add servers - but carefully, and in response to demand. We need to monitor that demand and roll out servers accordingly. A long-term recipe for MMO failure is to add a lot of servers early on, and then when population decreases, have to close those servers and merge them together."

But they have all of the guilds divided up among servers already. It seems like that would be a large chunk of known population right there.

Having a bit o fun. Looks like they didnt make anything changes verse beta 4. Same unbindable keys, same targeting problem if your mouse cursor is over a skill by accident and you use keyboard or mouse, still not fixed, that being a rather big issue.

Off to more pew pew pew.

@Graill440

So is this serious? A MMO where I cant set my key binds? at launch? I thought that was just the beta being the beta....

But really something as simple as keybinds not in a AAA MMO? I find it hard to believe.

Guess you didn't look through the options enough because you can change every key bind, there is even a tab that says clear as day "KEYBINDS".

@(Unverified) Your BS detector is functioning well, then, because you're right to disbelieve it. Keybinds are in, although there are some actions which aren't bindable. I assume that's what Grail was complaining about.

@Buhallin

Some people use CTRL or ALT as keybinds, and they are solely modifiers in SWTOR. There's already been a few questions about it in General chat today.

There's quite a number of changes; more importantly bug fixes.

Just one small one I can name off the top of my head was a toggle to show LS/DS point options without using the mouse.

@Graill440

What keys is it that you can't bind? I set all my bindings no problems, so I'm wondering what type of special setup is going on that can't be bound...?

as far as the same sex options they already said since it's completely voiced over having to record everthing in both male and female would delay launch but they are working on it and it will be added.

"You'll see people who have pre-ordered later than July getting invites."

uh, except I know people already in who pre-orded in September and October, skipping right past my August pre-order/register.

A very nice gesture to open op the early access 2 days early.
A very horrible job of explaining ahead of time what that actually means, keeping their appreciative fans informed, and following their own rules.

It doesn't matter how well-intentioned they are, how clearly they communicate, or how reasonable they sound. Epic fail!

If EA/Bioware can come through with a space expansion a year or two from now it will do well for the long term lifespan of this game. However it does not bother me one bit that space exploration is not in the game currently. Glad to hear UI customization is a priority.
