"We also have a special project going on right now that will expand space gameplay in a significant way..."

Alright, that's interesting.

Also, no mention of same sex companion romancing?

@(Unverified) "Also, no mention of same sex companion romancing? C'mon, Bioware, don't forsake your core fanbase!"

Are you implying us Bioware fans are gay...? =O

Seriously, I do hope they enable homosexual relationships. I was really looking forward to playing a gay toon in a fascist empire.

I think i can wait for the lesibian update / fix for the twileks...

But i was suprised they would throw out so many wide reaching areas, wouldn't it be easier to under commit and over deliver.

Hope all you day one early access peeps are having fun :( *checks email* and i can't even play till the 16th earliest lol

@PacketBurner I received the early access email this morning at 4:23. Then I went to work. Stupid job plans a infrastructure migration from Tandem to Unix/Oracle the week SWTOR comes out. Dirty pool old man. Hoping to get home before 11pm tonight and maybe create a character before 4 hours of sleep and back to the office.

Their core fanbase are gays? I had no idea. Willing to bet substantial green that metric is not only inaccurate but of a fantastical origin, and that most people who play Bioware games still haven't actually explored that feature.

@NeverDeath

I think maybe he meant "young men." i.e. a lot of people asking for same-sex romances are just dudes wanting to lez out. Plenty of legit requests, I'm sure, but this is the internet, so I'm betting it's the first one mostly.

@hereafter Or it could be the male pets you get either aren't romanceable due to species or are douchebags. I really hated that farmboy you get as a smuggler. But the pirate queen chick... rrrowr!

I'd be willing to bet the core fanbase is "mature adult" rather than "obnoxious homophobic kid."

Thank goodness for guild banks. I have greatly missed those in LOTRO

Oh those promises remind me of that infamous Aion ver 3.0 trailer that launched 2 weeks after Aion 1.0.

Cheap talk about the future when even the basic game is not fully delivered yet.

Or just fill in and hype up things that aren't in the game right now.

Gamers are so easy to be fooled with anyway.

@(Unverified) I don't think these plans are anywhere near the level of 3.0 aion, they went overboard on that trailer. The guild banks are somewhat basic, a lot of MMO's have them, pvp is part of the content so duh they would continue to work on it, and the guild ships is like guild halls, nothing too crazy really. The expanding of space combat is something a lot of people want, and there are plenty of fun idea's to implement.

No need to be so negative, with the sheer size of the SW universe, they could probably keep making new stuff to put in until the day they die, expand existing systems, etc.

@slickie Full-featured? Is that why the anti-aliasing is still missing?

lolAion

Isn't that poor thing dead already? I draw the line at MMOs charging their players real life money for a virtual haircut.
