GamersFirst has patched its post-apocalyptic sci-fi MMORPG Fallen Earth to version 2.27. There a slew of additions and tweaks, but the biggest is undoubtedly the addition of new faction territory control mechanics. According to the patch notes, alliances are for losers, as Fallen Earth's version of factional warfare is a no-holds barred six-way showdown.
The factional control area is north of Blaine, and it consists of 13 flag-control points. Seven of these points feature keeps that players may capture and maintain, as well as partake of various perks contained within (like the new Death Toll gear). That's not all, but you'll need to head to the official Fallen Earth website to learn more.

There's something strange about how the TOR fans seem to think everyone will abandon their current games to flock to the new themepark. Or to put it a different way "I find your excess of faith disturbing."

The only game that's too late is SWTOR. If they had managed to bring it out when it was first due they might have had a bigger success, as it is the game now looks very dated and whilst a lot of players will try it out most will not continue beyond a month or two as they'll have completed the linear path by then with little in the way of replayability.

FE has been a failure for a long time now. SWTOR and better MMOs coming out in 2012 will only hurt FE. Thus their attempts to finally add some interesting content are too late.

Here's a company that "gets it" with significant faction vs faction conflict improvement. SWTOR...talks the talk when it comes to 24/7 persistent world conflict.Shows a video that's about 1 minute in length and expects people to grind to 50 to see what they have and have not done.No they're not getting my $59.95. I'll be playing FE instead.

I feel the same way. I'll go ahead and stick to DCUO. Lets see SW:TOR match what I experienced yesterday: A 25+ person battle with Buses and Meteors flying all over the place, only to wind up on opposite rooftops of skyscrapers pitching Meteors and Iceblocks at each other.
LETS SEE THAT!!
