Where is the damn rp-PvP server list?!?

Lol, I hope they release this info before invites are sent.

@dasfunboy It was announced guilds wouldn't be put on RPPvP servers. Can't remember the actual reasoning behind that (if there was any).

@Lenn

They made the guild system without the thought of RP servers in general; basically, when you filled out, "What type of guild are you?", they didn't have an option for RP and PvP, so NO guilds are going to be automatically placed into an RP_PVP server. Basically, they have to restart on such a server if they want to be on one on their own.

@Space Cobra Right, that was it. It probably had something to do with the fact that, for a long time, RPPvP servers weren't even in. Only after much requesting by players did they start to consider it.

@Space Cobra I think you're wrong mate, my Guild was labelled Light RP and we were deployed on a RP server! Maybe they changed their minds during the process! Dunno :)

@Vormir

Well, to be fair, if you have any RP in your title, from light to heavy, you probably could be more tolerant to any RP, heavy or lite. During Beta, I saw a sad bit of General Chat-convo on a PVE server that basically put down/decried RP; the group of participants was happy to be on a PVE server with no RP.

So, there's that viewpoint.

Regardless if you're playing TOR or not, if you like it or not...this is one of those over-the-top Huge launches that is great for our genre.

Now if they can keep that East coast server farm up and running :)

@jimr9999us

Bioware sold lots and lots of boxes. The game is a lot of fun. I am looking forward to launch.

I'm curious if the issue with early access and people who ordered physical copies of the game has been resolved. being someone who paid for the CE, the idea that I'll be locked out of the game after the 20th because they decided to back peddle on the promise of an grace period that would allow time for me to receive my order and input the game key just plain sux.

@SFGamer69 Pay for better shipping? Actually leave the house and go to best buy or gamestop? No? Oh ok then...

where do idiots like you spawn from...
If you are not aware of the issue, then STFU. I have the best shipping available, they promised a grace period, because for some reason Amazon cant ship until the release date of the 20th. So even thou I will be able to play during early access, i will be locked out on the 20th until i can input the retail key...so 2 days wait for that to arrive on the 22nd...

@SFGamer69 I got release date shipping for my CE from Amazon. I also know someone who ordered recently (in the last month) and is getting release date delivery (also not a prime member).

@Stellar25 I HAD a release date delivery and when I was making sure my address was correct, upon submitting it switched to a 22nd date delivery.

But really, this no grace period for customers is total bull. You take care of your customers, plain and simple. If they are worried about income, then they can easily require a subscription by the 20th with the free month applied after you get your box copy.

However - that said, removing the grace period was a lame move. If they don't resolve it, I sort of hope this affects someone high up in one of those hacker groups and they bring down all EA's servers (not just SWTOR) for the 2 days to establish equality once again. Not that I wish ill on other customers, but I'd like to see some justice here.

are you in North America...they are offering it to EU folks, but not in North America, or you're just lucky, release day shipping was never an option, and I ordered an hour after the pre-orders went live... go figure.

@SFGamer69

Thanks for explaining the stress factor of all these amazon orders... i have seen sooo much ranting about it but alas no actual detail on it (the retail key not being provided prior to the box arriving)

Having read this i feel for you all, to be allowed to play for 4-7 days then being told to wait till the box arrives is a tad poor

Gamestation in Bristol has a sign up that says if you didn't pre-order you will not be able to purchase a physical copy. One of my Mates that works there said that it may be a week or so before copy's are available again to purchase.

Looks like WoW all over again.

61 US servers and 36 European servers. 97 total. That's just insane!

However, it also bodes really well for a smooth launch. Having that many servers from the get-go means that there should be very few issues with server queues for the first couple weeks after launch. The only queues would be from people who insist on playing on a busy server rather than people who have no choice because that's the only type of server available.

Of course, in the long run it is most likely going to lead to them having to merge some servers at about six months or a year in. Which naturally means that there will be no end of comments about how the game is dying or whatever. But I really have to respect the ambition that they're showing here, along with the clear determination to have a smooth launch.

Now if only they'd get the grace period issue under control.

@aurickle There are probably even more servers than that. Those are just the ones guilds will be put on.
