Unfortunately for you - so you'll note in the next GW2 article posted after this - they are indeed releasing the game with 8 professions. Let's hope now after that "big reveal" they can get the game out well before your 80th. :)

@Valdur agreed, the only question I have is one that won't be answered yet. I'm going to just enjoy the heck out of SWTOR until GW2 shows up and then split my time between both.

Yes, Mesmer is the final profession. Seems like someone jumped the gun. Official reveal will be on Wednesday, stay tuned. ~MK

@Clemalum07 Not sure why you're getting downrated; it's an honest response.

A year ago, I was saying the same thing to any sort of events that had to do with Bioware talking about SWTOR. It doesn't necessarily mean I'm (nor Clem, presumably) any less excited about GW2, but this process has been dragging on for way too long now...

@Scratches Yep I would like for any of the downvoters to tell me what is not factual about my statement.

It is not a MMO. It will more than likely be a good game, but it is not a MMO and shouldnt be compared to MMOs.

Do you know anything about Guild Wars 2?? It takes place in a fully persistent world with players all around you in massive zones. It's not instanced like the first Guild Wars.

GW2 is most definitely an MMO.

Well then, apparently I misunderstood your use of "an actual MMO." I read it as "I'll be playing a game (an MMO) that's actually out, tyvm."

GW2 *is* an MMO, by every definition of the term -- or will be, rather. ¬_¬
It's pure ignorance to suggest otherwise...

I could care less about the minutia of this game, all I really hope for is that they have some beta date info at the end of this session of theirs.

I don't know Reahard, with SWTOR this week, in traditional Dev standards they will probably annouce beta signups (probably no date lol)

I'm hoping they announce closed beta or the final profession this week, just so that the fanbase can go back to actually discussing the game instead of wailing and gnashing its collective teeth.

I hope they put up some kind of FAQ they can send people with obvious questions to.
I'm sick of the same stuff getting asked over and over again at these things, I know not everyone is in the loop, but giving people who ARE in the loop absolutely nothing is just as bad.
