I expect many crazy and wonderful things to come from players getting inventive with hang-gliding!

@Space Cobra

Swimming is pretty neat, too.

Oh, and fish have coins! ;P

As far as I'm concerned this may as well be Hang-Gliding Online: The Game and even if there were nothing else about it that interested me (there's plenty), I would probably buy it just for that.

I'm not a hard sell, apparently.

I'm still unsure what to make of this game. The vista's from a distance are breath taken. I understand the game isn't super polished yet but... we shall see. I remain hopefull

@(Unverified) Also, I'm still unsure as to why I've had an account on massively for like 6 months and still come up as unverified

Some workaround solutions are:

1) Use another browser

2) Don't read the other Massively sites; log off and back on to Massively.

3) Start another account with another email.

4) Phone AOL; tell them that Massively and its network of sites are having serious problems (It's not just the "unverified" bug any more). And I do mean it: Put some pressure on those Web-Tech folks AOL hires because the writers of all the sites are reporting the problems but little is being done to fix 'em.

Don't worry you aren't the only one. I've been in the Unverified limbo for probably close to a year now too.

@Space Cobra thanks, I've tried all of those solutions already, with the exception of calling AoL. But thanks for the effort you put into taking the time to reply.

4 sounds dangerous, lol.

I would try to add an avatar pic to my account, but it would probably break the system and I'm better off with a name than not.

I think one of the best/sadly hilarious examples is the writer for the (former?) sto column used to continually show up as unverified.

Reminds me of the hang gliding in Dark and Light. The only good things about that game were the hang gliding/parachuting and using your shield as a snowboard.

Really I mean REALLY some good company should cooperate with XLGames and bring ArcheAge to EU and NA!

I would preorder (providing no cash shop).

I am starting to think this game looks more and more Korean in a bad way.
I had high hopes for this game at the start.

Hmm is it called hang gliding if you don't hang?

@chum

Good point.

But the way the body goes out horizontally, is about the same way a body does with overhead hang gliders, only there, there are "stirrups" to keep the body horizontal. Here there are no ropes/stirrups.

It's just a small bit of detail that bothers me, since no one could hold their body in such horizontal form, even with a wind flowing, for an extended period of time. There should've been something along the waist area. But, it's only a small complaint. Heck, the way the whole contraption fans out instantly and then retracts just as fast does not bother me, although it's unrealistic. ;)
