No job ever goes quite right, no matter how well you plan it. It's as true in Champions Online as it is anywhere else, and it's certainly the case in the latest installment of the Whiteout series. After all, the first two issues made it plenty clear that heroes would have their hands full dealing with a downed alien spacecraft, but now things are going from bad to worse for the Steelhead soldiers and the player characters. It seems there's another player involved in the game who hopes to get in on the wrecked ship...
As with previous installments of the series, the new issue can be played by any character over level 11 and provides special rewards in addition to the usual mission benefits. But if you've already played through the mission, you can take a look at the game's latest Art Corner, which shows off the design of the mechanical antagonists plaguing the newest mission installment (and the subsequent ones as well, most likely).

This one is not bad. You can do it in about fifteen minutes, it has some nice enemy designs and adversaries, and works much better if you are teamed than solo. While it makes a nice daily quest to farm for items, Whiteout is probably one of the briefest adventure packs yet.
There may be a plus in that because you can do it easily, but it's really not on the level of resistance or even aftershock.

@Dblade Having just played through resistance I have to say I like whiteout much more... well except for part 2, the devs can't seem to write anything completely original, at least they could rip of something obscure, instead of the thing, which is 100 times better than their game.
Still, quick access to blue items is much appreciated.

Sorry, what did they rip off? I don't play CO but I'm curious.

@Yellowdancer Episode 2 copies John Carpenter's thing a lot.
@Unverified the length though is killer. The problem is that a single, normal quest in vibora bay takes longer to do than an episode of whiteout. They could literally take five help-a-citizen missions and have more content than the comic series.
Cryptic increasingly has been skimping on the content. The new Vibora bay-queen city area for level 19-22ish has all of 5 or 6 quests. It's not a good sign.

Massively! We the people need a multiple times a week column, about DCUO - similiar to this one,
BUT... we dont want 10 posts a month about builds or gear or pvp strategies. You can have those sure, but we'd like someone who is a FULL player and knows the game to write it. Not someone that just plays 10% of it and assumes the information about other areas(not meaning you champions column writer person)
Thanks! S!
Oh and 1.5+ MILLION accounts, and 1.200,000 SINCE F2P RELAUNCH 0 will show we are a huge playbase now and i know al ot of us read this websites posts.

You should apply for a position or offer your services as a freelance writer. Not being sarcastic. But that's how they handle it on this site, I believe.
