I'm all "For the Republic!", but I played the Sniper Agent's equivalent the Gunslinger Smuggler, and damn that class is powerful. You really do annihilate things before they reach you.

That's why I like Stealth. You wouldn't see me coming until it's too late.

We'll see about that! By level 15 I had three different CCs, and I know of at least one more (an aoe knockback with talented stun) that you get later.

You can close the gap with stealth, but I'll just kick you in the nuts and create it again!

:)

I didn't mention the CCs I got as a Shadow did I on top of stealth etc. You'll see. ;)

You won't take down a Shadow, whether they are tank or DPS spec they are a good counter to the Sniper, but the Sage, like in the video, probably wouldn't beat you.

The video really should be, Jedi Sage versus Imperial Sniper, it doesn't even touch on the other advanced classes.

OK, lets see, Shadow Vs. IA, mmmm, I've killed EVERY IA I've come across, lol. Muhahahaha. In fact I've killed 4 last night alone. :)

Played a Shadow in beta. Shadow is a great class and that's going to be my starting class. :)

I also played a Smug and a Sent but the Shadow fits my style much better.

At this point all these updates have become are hype machines for TOR before its eventual release

@Vgk

Odd isn't it that a business would be hyping their product prior to release?

Oh the huge man titty! :)

Yea just let me in the damn early release already. This last month has been nothing but LoL and the nubs I get paired with are killing me inside.

I found the Counselor to be the most fun, however, the Agent simply wrecked stuff from distance in PvP.

Counselor? I think you're confusing Star Wars for Star Trek.

And what a class that would be, eh? The ability to emphatically sense the blindingly obvious and then state it for everyone who then groan and die of embarrassment on your behalf.

I will choose any class over a force user. Some hokey religion and ancient weapons are no match for a blaster at your side.

In open terrain, Sniper. If the Sage can break line of sight, Sage. This is given that both are good.

Wont be playing this one at launch. To many features are just not good enough for the next gen MMO

@Deadalon

What exactly is a "next-gen MMO"? When did the last generation end? MMOs are usually on PC, and PC doesn't have finely defined generations like consoles.

@RogueJedi86 Next-gen remark aside. It isn't as full of features as say WoW. But it's nothing, that in my opinion, would stop from getting the game.

I played Imperial Agent as an Operative. I had a lot of fun with it in PvP. Only got to level 21 though. So can't really comment on high end pvp. Didn't even get a chance to use my corrosive grenade :(

He's referring to the fact that story aside, SWTOR is just WoW with lasers. There's very little innovation in gameplay. Meanwhile upcoming games like GW2, TSW, ArcheAge etc. are innovative in design.

Though personally I think the story is so good that it's worth buying just for that. Given the volume and quality of story, it's much better value for money than most single player games or MMOs.
