Ironic, since the player character origins are (theoretically) all the same.

I say theoretically because a large percentage of people flushed the game canon on that one and went with an origin story that made sense.

The only thing about this update that I'm not looking forward to at the moment is the special effects... they are so over the top its stupid.

A bit of lighting great... but blinding everyone on screen with it? :(

@bobfish

Jens did a walthrough on Gamespot and the effects were not that noticeable. I think they just made this trailer flashy.

Weird, I just had an "ohhhh yeah" type moment... since Skyrim and the SWTOR beta last weekend... I had completely forgotten I had even installed DCUO when it went F2P.

Sounds like a nice little pack of content though.

Eh, I still haven't really played the GL content I payed for. Going to be a while if I ever shell out for this.

They're also adding something like 14-20 new high level open world bounties, Flash's Rogues for Heroes and Teen Titans for Villians, across Gotham, Metropolis, and Central City that award Marks. It should help the cities be more interesting to run around in for level 30 players.
