Well damn =P
As a self-described bitter vet here. Even I must say that is an impressive little video clip. May have to pay Eden a visit once again. Maybe wait a bit to see if the flurry of dev action is a flash in the pan or really a new direction. But interesting none the less.

@Krovak

Well said. I'm of a similar mind, though I'm impressed more and more with each new developer blog and video.

@Equillian Logistic Ships now warp at 3.75 AU, just like other Tech 2 cruisers. There were also other logisticial changes, like jump bridge password removal, Auto-dock, Corp Bookmarks, things like that.

@Orakkus

I've been looking for a post that explains them in detail. Thanks man.

I watched this because you said "dubstep." I'm a really easy sell. :V

In seriousness, though, it's a pretty cool trailer. The time dilation bit especially made me sit back and go "Whoa," and the engine trails look awesome.

These damn EVE-trailers always make me want to really get into the game, once and for all.

I've just started playing EVE for what must be the fifth time, trying to avoid the 'lock and orbit' boredom of previous attempts (which, if you believe the trailer, isn't the case).

Thankfully, I'm finding the non-combat mechanics actually quite appealing this time around. Mining FTW!

@Russell Clarke Lock and orbit was one of the reasons I left too... For a game with a supposed "learning cliff", it felt shockingly easy.

@fallwind

I've played Eve for upwards of 6 years, and yeah, level 1-3 missions can be pretty brainless. But if "lock and orbit" is the sum of your combat experience in Eve, you've barely scratched the surface.

@Russell Clarke

Start locking actual players and you may find it takes more than just orbiting.
