City of Heroes' Intrepid Informer is on the scene again, and this time it's highlighting a new powerset: Titan Weapons. The powerset is exactly what its name suggests. It focuses on wielding massive tools of destruction and cutting a swath through enemies with brutal swipes. Titan Weapons users will use a new mechanic known as momentum. As you might imagine, momentum starts out building slowly, but once a player has some momentum built, he can unleash a flurry of AoE attacks to finish off his foes. For a complete run-down of the powers available to Titan Weapons characters and the details on what each one does, head on over to the official site.

Small pigtailed toon + weilding supersized weapon + annoying the anti-anime crowd = full of win
On a more serious note: I guess they didn't give a release on this. And no mention this will go along with Sheild Defence (I doubt it - since they'll treat it as a two handed weapon power set). Sounds interesting though.

So Duel Pistols now Heavy Weapons, it seems like CO and CoH are taking turns at playing catch up with each other.

Pity about the momentum mechanic making the set too troublesome to work as a Stalker set. Ah well.

Hmmm... I wonder what's next?
They have whip animations from the Demon Summoning set, maybe they might look into a whip based power set that Stalkers could get along with the other melee.
However, City of Heroes is a bit smashing/lethal powerset heavy at the moment. They might go in a completely new direction.

Well, there's Staff Fighting (all four melee types) and Darkness Control (trollers and doms) confirmed as the next two sets. After that, though? I'm kind of hoping for a defensive set. Been a while since one of those. Definitely seems like they've had a lot of new melee offensive sets in a short span, so they might ease off on those altogether for a while.
