In case you missed it (and we did, since it was 3:00 a.m. and we do occasionally sleep), Funcom posted the latest Age of Conan patch notes on the boards earlier today.
Yep, the 3.1 update is here, and while the bulk of the new code is devoted to Dreamworld engine tweaks, there are also quite a few class-related changes to peruse. Players have also been reporting various issues due to running custom user interfaces, and various fixes and workarounds have also begun showing up in the official 3.1 feedback thread. As always, more info is available at the official AoC website.

Looks.... okay.
I was really hoping they would fix invisible horse.

Thank you for that, but I think most people are aware of how to 'fix' it. The point is, we shouldn't have to. :\

Yeah - I dunno what the technical hurdle is, but its just such a sloppy thing that hurts the user's perception of the game - for EVERY user.
So whenever you hear people saying that Age of Conan is rife with bugs and glitches - maybe in reality its not too bad in comparison with other games, but the problem is that there's just really obvious ones like this that they haven't fixed for ages because somehow in their strange reasoning, they think its okay not to fix because the end user can just do a quick 1-2 second workaround each and every time they zone.
So because of these type of "oh you just have to stick this jellybean in your ear every time you want to drive your car" workarounds, the overall perception, and how the "word gets out" on forums and places like massively here, is that Age of Conan is full of bugs.

So the engine updates are mainly for the back end for sieges? Very cool.

Yeah they did some public siege testing over Thanksgiving (that I missed unfortunately), so hopefully that will start to become a bigger part of the AoC experience at some point.

The day Funcom actually fixes sieges is the day I delete all my pvp 10 gear. Virtually all the siege community quit the game ages ago because every time they say something like 'improved server performance where many players are close together, like sieges' it has made no difference. They don't know what they are doing.
