@(Unverified) To be honest, They are superwomen. Traditionally they are kind of big chested as they're supposed to be the optimum physical specimen of what a human can be.. Guys are the same with the rippling muscles and chiselled jaws.

The proof actually lies in where the game is six months from now. This is an MMOG after all and not a single player, one-shot type of game...

Lets clarify one thing here:

DCUO did not "make the switch" to Free to play.

The game was supposed to be free to play, up until they delayed launch and thought

Q: "How could we make more money??"

A: "Lets make the game subscription based, the DC IP is sure to bring in thousands of players.

later:

Q: "crap! everyone is leaving after 2 weeks! Have they seen through our screen! What can we do!

A: Offer the game at 33% off, it's still 300% higher than it should be. We do after all have 1/10th of the play time of 15/mo subscriptions, but maybe the users will settle. It's not like we're going to take 4 months to put out the next content update.

Later:

Q: What should we do!?!?, everyone is still leaving, Everything has just dwindled off and there is only one populated server. Crap! the legends promotion is over and they will all have to renew after the free time for our incompetence [in using horribly outdated security software] runs out! Oh, what are we to do!

A: Lets announce SUPER SERVERS and hope some people will stick around and wait

later:

Q: Oh no! the super servers aren't bring back enough people! What a waste of time and resources! After that Hard Light pimp slap we gave the community[subscription = free future content, my ass...] how will they ever forgive us!

A: I guess it's back to the original plan, we milked the game for all it's worth. Slap a F2P sticker like we had originally planned and lets get to a stable population. The 30 hours of total content finally bit us in the ass.

@Valkenr

its really a very simple, long practiced strategy. well known in the business world. it was planned out, not this silly overdramatized & reactive scenario that you dreamed up.

release a product at a high price, and then keep discounting it the older it gets.

look at movies.
pay a premium to go see it at the theater, cuz you can't wait to see it.
if you're a a little more patient, see it at the discount theaters.
even more patient people pay less by renting or buying it at an even later date.

The thing is revenues might be up but items from the store beyond the consumables are account wide items. Buy a pvptoon/hoodie/hat/tshirt/skin/armor bit and you can claim it on every single toon of yours with the onetime purchase. So at somepoint the only constant stream of new money coming in will be based off of the idea everyone will buy more vault runs etc on a daily basis.

One of the pluses I guess is that at least SWTOR shouldn't have too much of an impact on the PS3 numbers for DCUO.

Unlike Aion, Rift and even WoW who will all lose large chunks of prime western subs.

I heard lots of good things about this game, so maybe it will be worth trying out. I bought the game when they had it on sale a while back, but never dove into it.

Hopefully they cleared out all the hackers that were causing problems.

Are Smedbucks still set up that it requires multiple purchases and you always have left over cash but to use it you have to buy more because of the way the items are priced?
