Second time the trees have been totally revamped.
And so what if they're stolen? It doesn't logically follow that they're automatically bad because they're not original, SWTOR is lifting practically its entire game system from WoW which lifted their from Everquest...the only original addition is story/dialogue in SWTOR, just because they're copying WoW's gameplay formula doesn't make it bad though.

"SWTOR is lifting practically its entire game system from WoW"

LOL what a load of horse pucky. It isn't even the same engine let alone art.

Saying stuff that isn't true will make you look bad. But that's your choice.

BTW I played WoW to cap. I played Beta for TOR. They are not the same apart from being an MMO with MMO attributes. Aside from that they are vastly different.

When will Vivendi wake up and realize Bobby Kotick is seriously damaging Blizzard's reputation the way he did Activision's?

There was no excuse for putting this man as CEO of the Activision Blizzard division. His view of games and gamers is outright atrocious.

Admittedly Metzen and some of the others at Blizzard have made missteps and a lot of the retcons and the constant "Thrall is going to be god and we will push him constantly in everyone's face" is something I believe has pushed away some long term fans of the franchise, it is the ideas of a RMAH in Diablo 3, the initial decision to make Real ID grouping in WoW be for an additional fee thus it would have been the first pay-to-pay-to-play game, are straight out of the Kotick handbook on how to stick it to gamers.

I seriously hope it doesn't take the entire destruction of a beloved gaming franchise (Warcraft) to wake Vivendi up.

To the Beta Testers of Bioware's KOTOR MMO:

Is there a role for Crafters in Bioware's KOTOR MMO? Are crafted items as valuable as looted items?

And is there item decay and a viable player economy in Bioware's KOTOR MMO?

I am an ex-crafter from the pre-CU SWG, and find it enormously frustrating when playing WoW that crafted items are crud compared to looted items.

In WoW crafters are second-class citizens. Some WoW professions such as Cook cannot even compete with items available in NPC Vendors. And don't get me started about the futility of WoW's Enchanter profession.

I am hoping Bioware's KOTOR MMO more closely resembles the pre-CU SWG than WoW, when it comes to crafting and the player-economy.

If you could buy awesome gear from someone, why would you need to spend 4782 hours running raids, time that adds up and time that means you're paying for a sub for X months per expansion. It's counter-intuitive to the grind that is WoW (and others in the genre). Profession items suck because they don't want you to be able to bypass the gear time-sink or invalidate months of content creation by their devs.

Unless you're talking about crafting awesome gear require an obnoxious amount of time/farming to make, per piece. Then you can still preserve the time-sink and Activision can still get their monthly fees.

Sadly, you'd be better becoming a crafter IRL if you want to be valued so highly :p

Vivendi apparently thinks the stock will take a hit. They just sold off some a couple of weeks ago.
