Nice show, i was hoping that some commentary would have been made on Global Agenda in regards to their Firefall coverage.

You guys should check that out for research going ahead with respects because its already out and i suspect firefall is going to be taking pages from their playbook etc..

At the time of our initial design meetings, our characters were designed to only look good at standard game-viewing distances, but were not suitable for cinematic close-ups. This presented an additional "quandary for the cinema team. We didn’t have any extra bones allocated for facial animation, and because we’re using a combination of unique faces and customized vertex morphing, any sort of mesh-based animation (i.e. morph targets) was rather impractical, since we’d have to create those animations for each preset head. As such, we settled on a visual compromise, pushing the character back far enough so you could see them in reasonable detail, but not zooming in far enough to see the flaws that would become apparent in a close-up shot."

anyway

like it how GW2, even if only just parts of it, is always compared to TOR, if you look at the budget for the two games, I'd be inclined to think that GW2 is something ridiculous like a tenth of TOR's budget ~~

personally though, I find the old rpg style pretty charming =D

@Fuzzz edit button where art thou x'D
I'm a GW2 rat not going to try and hide that ,
and continued from before, had Anet had the resources that Bioware had for TOR, I wouldn't even begin to imagine how OP GW2 would be compared to other games ~~

FireFall and PSide couldn't be more different. unless one of them wasn't a shooter.

i'm super excited about FireFall, and can't stand many of the fundamental aspects of PSide. they are in fact dealbreakers. such as:

* forcing you to choose between a pre-set number of pre-made factions.
* having the modern spreading crosshairs booshit that penalizes skillful full speed defensive movements with loss of aim accuracy.

also if Pside 2 is anything like PS1, the world will be totally unimmersive and look pretty much like randomish giant arena's, giving you no sense of wanting to explore it other than learning the battlefield. no NPCs, no wildlife, no villages, no points of interest. just randomish bases and terrain. nothing at all to make you feel like you are immersed in a world.
