The first (and far shorter) video covers the upcoming revisions to Freeport, showing off all of the changes coming to one of the game's most iconic cities. The second video is longer but also far meatier, covering the new Dungeon Maker system coming out with the Age of Discovery expansion. So head on past the break, settle in with a nice beverage, and enjoy a whole lot of information without having to scan a bunch of text.

Are you a fan of EverQuest II who wants to know more about what's on the horizon for the game but who doesn't want to take the time to read anything? Admittedly, your presence on this site makes a distaste of reading rather unlikely, but even so, you're in luck today. There are two new viewos covering future developments for the game, with both of them embedded just after the cut so you can watch them at your leisure.

I like the look of "new" Freeport, but I sure hope they keep Boomba and Lord Oinkles!

After the hideous abomination that was the EQ1 Freeport revamp I was more than a little nervous but let's just say I feel a lot happier about the whole thing than I did a week ago.

This pleases me. Player created content has the potential to be amazing...or suck horribly, but regardless. More content to do is always a good thing. And every once in a while you get that shining gem in the midst of all the steaming crap that makes it all worth while.

Wow the developers act like they could not give a crap less about Dungeon Maker... Doesn't really instill confidence.

Very exciting stuff. I like the gold trim on the new Freeport, gives it a real edge of 'Tyrant's Glory' :D

Dungeon maker seem really disappointing.
Whole expansion is rather weak, especially for hideous price of 89.95 $ !!!! :O
free2play - yeah :/

Umm, that is the price for the collector's edition.... and if you pre-order it, it is $59.99. The regular expansion price is $39.99 and if you don't want it, it is not required to play.

the new expansion is not required to play EQ2, why its really a scam to try get 40$ from it, there is litterally nothing in it, and atleast for now they promised that every content update would be thought of as part of Velious, so you get that from your subscribtion, the things in the expansion they should either give for free or put on the cash shop individually for lower price....since its "free to play"...+ subscribtion (or alot of individual unlocks)

Would be nice - and allow for some variety - if they'll open up all Neutral Races for F2P play when EQII goes 'fully' F2P.
