It's starting to seem that this Incarnate system is turning into the raid or die syndrom that so inflicts WoW. This is more than a step back, it appears to be a de-evolution of the entire game....

...can't developers ever create endgame content that is fun, enjoyable and intersting, yet advances your character in wonderful ways whether you want to group or solo it? Is it really that difficult?

Exactly and I think that MMOs are headed for a crash. it may not be right now, but there is only so much that the 'other' 95% of players will put up with.

Sure the raiders may be happy, but they might not be when development money dries up.

It's almost a little sad, when there is far more to do in Skyrim ,(300+hours of exploration and fun), then there is in any MMO on the market today.

Really, they are more or less turning into 'hubs', with chat rooms.

End game will be the final end of MMOs.

It's just another ridiculous, our-way-is-better-than-yours decision from Paragon Studios, the kings of our-way-is-better decisions.

See: Issue 13 and other PvP revamps, balancing around Shivans and Nukes, everyone is a sidekick to Statesman and the Phalanx (the former a byproduct of Emmert's ego, the latter Positron's), Hamidon as "epic raid content," side-switching "because it's cool," etc.

There are three things in life that are certain: Death, Taxes and City of Heroes telling its players that they're not as smart, cool, important or matter as much as the devs.
