I has not known there was a connection between Richard Garriott and Bob Dole.

Still, as big a dork as he is, I admire his passion.

I like RG but even I can see this is going to light the blue touchpaper for some people.

"It is clear to me that I, Richard Garriott, am an essential ingredient of at least the Ultimate Ultima, if not more broadly the Ultimate RPG."

Classic Narcissism at it's finest.

Gonna have to build a really big MMO to house that ginormous ego.

Richard Garriott needs to have a hand in the Ultimate RPG? I wasn't aware he was part of the Skyrim development team!

@(Unverified) I wasn't aware that Skyrim was the "ultimate rpg".

The closest contender to that title from Bethesda, I'd say, is Daggerfall. Every title since has just gotten simpler and shinier.

@(Unverified) I thought Kotor 1 was the ultimate RPG. Guess I've been living a lie.

Except that Skyrim is not ultimate rpg and you know it.

Yes its good game, but not as good as previous parts of Elder Scrolls franchise, pre-oblivion and the hype for the title is ridiculously overblown. :)

@UnknownVoice "Skyrim is not the ultimate RPG and you know it." Who died and made YOU Richard Garriott?

Any game can be SOMEONE'S ultimate RPG. There is no such thing as THE Ultimate RPG.

By strictest definition, the ultimate RPG is the last one ever made. Which may well be what Garriot is working on, due to the imminent collapse of society once it's done.

Get off facebook and make it Garriott. Until then you're a has-been.

I would have more respect for his "vision" if I could read his aspirations without seeing the dollar signs attached to every single one of his "features".

You can have everything you want, provided it's available in the cash shop and you have purchased enough virtual currency to obtain it.

I think he needs to go back and describe it again. We already got Skyrim.

After reading this again... I think he is laying the groundwork for his company to be bought by EA...

@(Unverified) Yeah, when I read it my first thought was "he's up to something". The post seemed too deliberate JUST to be a narcissistic post.
