@agitatedandroid never said there was anything wrong with it. I think its a good thing that it reminds me of other games (fills the nostalgia). They're taking the best of both games and I cant wait to see how this game is

@AtomicConnor For some reason I like this art design with its more colorful tech than the more functional style Global Agenda or the overdone, post-apocalypse style Borderlands

so is this like 10 v 10 game or a proper open world where the entire server can turn up for a fight?

@Mad Dog

The PvP will be instanced, as I understand it, likely similar to Global Agenda's PvP. Otherwise, the majority of the games content involves open world PvE.

@Mad Dog

It's of the 10v10 variety. One of the head devs recently said it's definitely not an MMO of any kind, and the website just calls it a "free online multiplayer FPS".

@Ghostspeaker Seems like a TF2 clone with mmog advancement...a polished Global Agenda? But we saw how well that works out when there's no world to screw around in.

Best part of this game is that the character isn't the class but the armor suit is. Game looks positively great as well and it's a pro team as well.

@Fabius Bile

Is prolly better to compare the two when they can be compared.

It is free to download and play, and isn't PvP exclusive. Those are reasons enough for me. There are a number of differences between this and PS2 that might appeal to different types of gamers.

Easy, it's not made by SOE.

@Fabius Bile We barely know anything for these 2 games. Firefall looks like the pick-up and play type whereas PS2 seems to be more sophisticated and hardcore, and doesn't have PvE. I'm holding judgement until I try both.

@Fabius Bile

there are plenty of reasons.

one i'll mention is that you aren't forced to join 1 of 3 pre-made factions. i can't stand that kind of setup.

I'm worried Firefall is going to go the Gods and Heroes route...

Not to be macabre, but if you have a minute you should check out the G&H forums. Sometimes it's better for a game not to exist at all.

@jimr9999us

Given that the CEo of Red 5 studios and 90% of the developer staff interact with the community on a regular basis and OMG treat there fans with respect (imagine the gall!) and having played teh game I can say...."not likely"

@Skyydragonn Not meant to be a criticism of the game and a very talented team...just worried how many of the smaller mmog's coming out in the next year will do.

There's a ton of games out now just seems real hard to get heard.

I like the music they used. Visually it looks appealing. And the game play looks as good as you might expect. Look forward to hearing more.

I hope you can turn off the bold outlines (like you can in Champions Online). Also its a bit concerning that when your in medium range of an enemy (or further), all you see is their red health bar due to poor lighting - maybe it will be better up close on a monitor as opposed to in a trailer. Really looking forward to giving this a try!
