MechWarrior Online has only been recently announced, but already interviews with the game's dev team are beginning to roll out. A Q&A with one of the game's concept artists, Alex "flyingdebris" Iglesias, went up on the forums today. The interview covers how Alex came to work for the MechWarrior team to begin with and grills him on the challenges of redesigning the game's iconic giant robots. Dang, the PR train is just going at full steam on this after the initial announcement.
I can't see this game coming out anytime "soon" to really rely on such articles being released. Sure, I am interested, but the hype-meter may overload and go bust. They probably should have some Alpha build or in-game screenshots first; people are gonna get burnt out.

@Braiks
Summer 2012?
Yep, not too far off. IMO, either it's going to be a simple game (ala old Battletech/GEnie and be more about Arena Matches) or they got a large staff and are burning the midnight oil or something. Maybe they got a Beta build somewhere and just are holding off the screenshots?
We just have to wait-and-see how this game turns out.

Flyingdebris, couldn't have a more appropriate name to do Battletech art.

Wish Doug Chaffee could be drawing artwork for the game.

So far actual game details are pretty sketchy. I dont even know if this game will have PVE.... I get a bit bored with too much pvp or PVE so I like to mix it up...
