@Channel84

No... but XL Games is. Wake me up after this releases and succeeds in Korea... after GW2 isn't fun anymore.

This game definitely has some strong possiblities, their bare bones website sort of worries me though. As always Korean games don't always fair to well in the state. the idea about not being all sandbox, and supporting RP and PVE. Usually sandboxs is all PVP and AH economics. I think this game falls into the wait and see, but on paper it is mindblowing, and become the top dog. I like

@(Unverified) ArcheAge-Online.com is just a news website, and unofficial at that. ArcheAge.com is official, but the English section is undeveloped (no announced NA/EU publisher to keep it updated). The Korean section of ArcheAge.com is alive and well, with an active forum. The equivalent forum for NA/EU fans is ArcheAgeSource.com.

News has been slow for ArcheAge recently, though, which is why these potentially-unofficial trailers are getting so much attention at the moment. People want something new to show up, and nothing really has.

That sort of bodes poorly, why isn't the US getting a decent website even. I wasn't refering to the nonofficial site, I'm refering to the official US archtype site.

I notice how the character just stands there and fires off their attacks. Why? Why no dynamic movement, dodging, why must it be static???

Their sandbox elements combined with the over the top, Asian art style visuals has me looking forward to this more than any other.

I will be able to look past the asian combat flashes if combat is challenging. Time will tell.

combat looked a little frenetic and spastic, but I'm keeping an open mind because I love everything else I've heard about this game.

Thought I'd chime in to let you guys know these aren't trailers being released by XLGAMES, they're being released by the Chinese publisher Tencent to Chinese news website. It's basically a bunch of b-roll and some soundtrack selections, as far as I can understand.

XLGAMES' trailers are much more high-quality than this stuff. Not that these trailers aren't indicative of what CBT3/4 players saw or can expect to see, but they're not really doing the game full justice.

@Yoh

Exactly.

ArcheAge was never promising ground-breaking revolutionary combat.
But combat does not look bad. It looks solid.

This game gonna be great.

Not ideal, not perfect saviour some people are waiting, but finally some REAL mmoRPG.

I thought this game used to have a more realistic gritty look to it. Now its looking like just another anime fireworks show.

Not really interested anymore.

until i hear word 1 about a NA release date i don't even consider this a game yet, i completely understand the hype a real sandbox semi- or otherwise sounds great since its a dying concept in MMO's but seriously why should i get all worked up for a game that the dev's have not said word 1 about if it will come out in NA
