Minmatar? Check. Gallente? Yep. Amarr? Roger roger. Caldari? It's about time! EVE Online's battlecruiser rollouts are now complete thanks to today's introduction of the Naga. Like its three factional counterparts, the new ship is coming courtesy of EVE's winter expansion. Also, like the previous reveals, the Naga is the brainchild of an EVE player and it first appeared during last summer's Design a Starship competition.
In addition to its fearsome lines and considerable bulk, the Naga is "equally capable of fitting large torpedo launchers, large rail guns or even blasters, [and] is easily the most flexible weapons platform of the four new battlecruisers," according to the latest CCP dev blog. Head to the official site for further info and additional images.

Naga? What's next, Kael'thas class? I'll take an Illidan shuttle or an Arthas frigate too.

I remember Naga's from old D&D days... I think they were in the Fiend Folio

Good that CCP started caring for EvE Online again. Well at least it seems so.
I think that might win at least some of lost players back and maybe bring some new ones.
I am very hmm conservative one might say and I won't go back to EvE sadly cause I don't agree with RMT Plex system. I know that many players accept or even like it though, so that ok maybe.
Anyway I like when company acknowegedle if made a mistake and actually take actions accordingly (just empty words does not matter as have no meaning) - so one could say I hope Eve will survive.

Ship bonuses for split weapon systems will make this the weakest contender of the Tier 3 BCs. There is little need to bring this ship over a few Stealth Bombers if using torps. Blasters might work if but for the 3 lows this boat has. Keeping in optimal range will be difficult due to this. The only conceivable role this ship has is to duplicate the role of the Rokh for sniping.
Will be interesting to see where this ship finds a home in fleets.

Exactly what I was thinking. Split weapon bonuses will likely mean this becomes the "Bellicose" of the new BCs.
On the other hand, as you say: a "glass cannon" BC used for sniping could actually work. Assuming it's a typical Caldari ship with crap for speed, it might be able to sit at range.

@(Unverified) The many, many Typhoons using split systems and getting over 1k DPS would like a word with you.

That Gank Phoon you posted is nice, but it still won't dish out as much death as a well-fit Malestrom. It's also a hard-to-fit setup. I do like it though, but I think you'd find that web will be pretty useless in most engagements.

@(Unverified) According to the data dump that everybody saw, it had 8 turret and 8 missile hardpoints, allowing you to choose a full rack of either one. Not sure if it'll stay that way forever or not though.
