First of all, not too keen on the shorts (and I bet we can't customize these looks either, hm?)
Second, I vote for...well, either Iron Man or Impossible Man!

I thought the shorts were strange too, but since I'm not a comic fan I thought it might just be me.

Well...yeah. That's the look I like. ;) I know, I would not wear those if I were in Grimm's shoes, but I like that look.
We'll see how it plays/looks in-game.

Wow... another MMO with predefined characters. I hate these games. To me MMO are customization, writing your own story, your own character. Having predefined characters doesn't feel like its my character.

Shorts a little shorter and without the black hems, ideally. Next up: Ms. Marvel!

Just found this on anothermmo.com
"...before DCUO came out people complained that you couldn’t play as Batman, Superman, etc, but after release everyone was fine with it. Now that Marvel Universe is giving you a game where you can actually play as an official Marvel hero, people are complaining that they can’t create their own characters instead. So honestly, I think people like to complain and if there is nothing to complain about, then they look for something to complain about."
Remember this bit of text and copy/paste it in case of future MUO trollage. :D

Maybe people want to have option to create their own superhero or play as Batman / Superman in the same game?
Bring known superheroes and give ability to create custom as well.
Anyway - not gonna play it. Not very keen on superhearoes mmos and having fixed choices only not working for me. Be it single player rpg's or mmo rpg's really don't work for me in any.

@pcgneurotic What's funny is that on the DCUO US PC server there is a Marvel Heroes guild full of characters modeled on Marvel character, including some obscure ones like Doc Samson. It was the same way on Champions and CoH. I have a feeling there is an untapped market for who MUO is doing. Plus we don't know if there will be customizable elements, even if you play a licensed character.

About that quote there:
The Devs at SOE doing DCUO were never going in that direction or, if they were, they abandoned having players play Iconics VERY early on, I think in the planning stages.
But the folks at DC/Warners, a few months before the game released, asked the question, "Why can't players play as Batman?" So, in the "Corporate CEO" sorta way of wanting to market and not understanding but being a "slave" to their "customer" (talking about SOE working for DC/Warner), they said, "Sure!" So SOE added "Iconic" play through virtual computer chips (I forget what they are called in-game). Basically, 3D holo-deck examples involving Arena/PVP battles. Batman and his crew were the first ones to be offered.
No player that I know of "complained" that they could not play as Batman or Superman; most were happy with creating their own hero. It was only DC/Warner management that made SOE add that system, NOT players/fans.
Really, I think Marvel is just going about this in a different way so they can "be different" from the competition. They did this in Super-Hero Squad and they saw Marvel Ultimate Alliance sold well. From a business standpoint, I can see their point and I see their history (it may've been another reason Marvel and Cryptic parted ways, but I think it was mostly Microsoft). I don't agree with it and I think they are being short-sighted, but I think the model will be popular enough with some players, but won't be a mega-blockbuster with many who are MMO-ophiles.

That's a pretty common fallacy. Taking a general response to something, calling it "People" and implying that most if not everyone holds this opinion.
I sure as hell didn't want to play as Batman or Superman in DCUO, nor do I want to play as Wolverine, Deadpool, or the Thing in MUO.
I think a lot of the people who want to play as Batman and Deadpool don't really want this either. They want to play as the character, but be the only one playing as it, so they can be special. It's hard to feel special when you're in a team full of Wolverines.
There's not many details on this game at the moment, but if this is really the route they're going, I think it'll be the first superhero MMO I ignore.

You're absolutely right about the generalisation, but "They want to play as the character, but be the only one playing as it, so they can be special. It's hard to feel special when you're in a team full of Wolverines." The only answer here is - Single Player Game.
