@real65rcncom I'm expecting at least 16 hours downtime followed by launch issues and server crashes, with bugs that require a restart for the next 2 days afterward. It happens with every F2P transition, jus' gotta wait it out bro.

Mmm, I am actually going to give this a try now. I heard it was fun from early reviews, but I could never justify buying it. Maybe now that its F2P, I can give it a try.

@Daegalus

It's definitely a decent game for a FTP model. Im not sure how much youll have access to, but it's not bad.

Same here. Not sure if I'll ever pay for anything, but in terms of interest alone, it's a smart move. I never, ever would have considered buying it and paying for a subscription.

@real65rcncom

Just limited to inventory space and character slots. You can play the full game.

The initial download through the DCUO launcher is 14 Gb, and when you tell it where to install beforehand it warns you that it wants at least 16 Gb. Just FYI.

Is that launcher shortcut for a universal client or is it region specific like US only?

I paid for the first few months that this game was out. I was fortunate enough to play the beta and fell in love immediately and preordered it. Got 100% screwed out of my pre-order bonuses by Target but the game is one of my favorites.

Its perfect for casual playing, i stopped paying the sub cuz its not a game that offers a long day of content. The content is a total blast of fun and pretty short.

Im definitely waiting for the servers to go up. =)

anyony have a link for waht former subscribers will have access to once the relaunch completes? Assumign I'm not locked out of too much stuff I might go back to playing. But If I have to lose characters (have 4) and can't use chat or adequate storage I will not be going back. Even though i do have some leftover vault tickets I purchased from the cash shop prior to the conversion.

@Skyydragonn

Fewer character slots. You don't lose the character, you just can't use them. There will be some kind of interface for selecting which characters you wish to continue. Less inventory, less mail, and less auction hall postings... but it's all more then what the f2p people get.

The people staying subbed are get much more then they were getting before.
