I can't believe you really made such a huge point about something your wrong about. It has always taken a day to get 1-20. Try leveling at lvl 40 as a class other then a mage. It's nearly impossible to find a group. Your mostly stuck waiting around for a steel rake group that isn't really going to gear you or anything special or you can solo grind repeatable quests that are the same monogamous kill heal repeat run back to quest giver 50 meters away and back again, Repeat this for hours alone. Then once your 50 if your lucky some guild will take you out to an instance if you wait around all day for a very low chance at getting gear that your can't pvp with the only thing your working towards other then enjoying grinding the same exact mobs over and over. Then after you get to 55 you and you think your fully decked out in gear as if that wasn't hard enough then you have to do the same gear grind that you just finished bare minimum 50 fold so you can enchant your gear. Then after that you can start grinding abyss for god knows what the ability to rolfostomp more then one person at the same time. Getting forts is more about getting the carebears that havn't commited their life to the game as the number one priority in enough numbers and to coordinate them to do what you say while leading 500 other zerg members to a lag fest. This grants you a fort where you can guess what grind more ai mobs for abyss points gear.

Don't even let that repeat an instance 50 times for a full set of gold items. At lvl 33 you would have already been level 40 by then with dirt cheap blues most likely better then that. All you can do with it is enchant it to 10 and stop lvling and maybe grind some abyss points. Most likely you will cap at 150k and be forced to buy a peice of gear since you can't farm abyss points without the risk of losing any at that level. And the DP set doesn't even give you a weapon just some armor. Which I'm pretty sure if your going to be spending 100-150 hours in an instance not counting the day you have to wait around to get a group it's alot more productive to be farming the new instance 50-55 for gear. It's almost just as impossible to enchant gear at that level. So it would be a waste to even make your new gifted set 10.

By the way everything ncsoft give you even gold items is considered complete garbage to the real aion players.

I've leveled 3 characters to 55 and the difference between the first and last is extremely noticeable. Aion is a very different game today than it was at launch.

Is that a good or bad thing?

I watched one of my friends play high level Aion PVP and it was glorious to behold and I really wanted to have so much fun too!
But then at like level 17 or 18 i hit like a levelling roadblock and it was such a massive quest grind for exp.

My experience has been different. If anything, I wish the leveling was slower. When the game first came out two years ago, I agree, the leveling was very slow , especially after 37 or so. But now? Almost the opposite.

I played Asmo up to 20, and I'm currently only a level 28 on the Elyos side and I have to say the lore on the Asmo side is much better but the visual appear on the Elyos side is better.

Overall, If I had to redo it, I would level up my Asmodian instead of my Elyos.

Thank you for the reality check. MJ Guthrie obviously loves the game so much they can see past its glaring issues.

It is good to see someone that plays the game with a down to earth point of view and saving me from wasting my time with the game.
