APB:R business model make me lose faith in G1. Pay 2 win with hacks running rampant. Fallen earth server stability is also a concern.

APB is one the best games I've played, it's not perfect but really people should at least give it a try. Its FREE. If you like it then of course buy premium and support it.

@(Unverified) Yes, A bad game is bad even if it does change payment models.

This is coming from a high rank APB (G1) player. There IS NO pay to win guns on the market place, They only have modifications placed on the guns and all of those mods are available to the free player.

There are no paytowin cars on the marketplace, and there is no dmg or life booster for premium. You just gain cash and exp faster.

I think what G1 is doing is incredible and people are WAY too quick to judge them. They are a tiny company that is ramping upwards every week, which means their quality will just get better in time.

Another thing. People who "try" APB usually will get stomped but 9 times out of 10 it's not because of a hacker. It's because you're playing someone who is a much better gamer than you are. So PRACTICE SCRUBS!

@Derekisazombie

you're either trying to protect the game and love it because you pay a hacksite a subscription to be able to hack it without recourse (because G1 can't detect you) or you're completely delusional. 9/10 people on APB are indeed hackers. Despite what G1 says about their bannings, the 2-3 subscription based hack sites are still going VERY strong and there's no signs of them stopping.

their cash shop scheme is pretty awful too, charging WAAY too much for ingame weapons(although the advantages to these "pay2win" guns are really nullified by the droves upon droves of hackers in APB)

this is coming from a gold 7 level player who played RTW AND G1's versions. the hacking is just WAAY too out of control to bother playing so i simply uninstalled and i find myself glad i stopped when i did. bad game is bad.

@R3nZiO

9 out 10....Really?

Either your lying about Gold 7 or are one of those people who believes he is so good, only a hackers can score a win against ya. I played just as long as you claim and the only time the ratio was correct was after RTW closed its doors and the APB servers sat online. With no threat of enforcement one was hard pressed to find a district with a non hacker in it. Hell all you had to do was ask in district and players freely admitted it.

Now as someone who has put the time into the game and has also had an oppurtunity to test out the "Pay2win" weapons, I have to say that the power of the store exclusive weapons is highly exagerated. While these guns are great when you choose a role and want to level it up, once you hit Rank 10 of your chosen role the 2 slot version of each weapon can accomplish the task better. What this means is that the Gold weapons are a nice way to jump into the game but in time you will have access to better weaponry simply from progression.

*SideNote* Currently besides a fancy model only one gold weapon has an advantage over its progression based cousin. The Whisper OCA has a Silencer Modification that is not currently available any other way. While the Mod can be advantageous in certain aspect, the gun still gets out performed by its 2 slot cousin.

Fallen Earth is a f2p game that limits your crafting and lowers your xp gain unless you subscribe. I find that a bit at odds to their anti-subscription stance.

You just got mopped man. That's all there is to it. Yea I love the game but watching the countless number of noobs "try" the game and bitching is halarious and annoying.

I started somewhere in the game to ya know.

Definately no marketing spin to see there from the senior vice president of marketing and business development.

I especially like the part where he is talking about the business model. Yes it must be tough coming up with new ways to nickle and dime your customers.

The hacking going on in APB has become an absolute joke, the problem is even if they catch someone and ban them, they just create yet another free account and are right back in the game.

Don't get me wrong the game itself looks like it is quite fun, but is marred by the way it's been monetized and the players who just can't help themselves with regards to using hacks.

Lots of PR attempt in the comment section. I would recommend potential player check the current state of the game in 3rd party mmo forum. 60usd for a gun anyone?

That door swings both ways on here. To be very honest though given that its Free2Play why read about it when you can simply try it.

"some mmo on the market are f2p like league of legend some are just pay 2 win like APB:R."

I already showed that APB is in fact not pay to win. As some one who has played the game since its inception with RTW through its current state , if it were pay 2 win I would of moved on by now. The real problem is uninformed opinions like yours. You label APB Pay 2 Win but ignore evidence that points to the contrary. APB is Free to Play. The Item shop provides cosmetic items and some weaponry that a player will eventually make obsolete by dedicating some time to the game. Anyone who thinks they are overpowered falls into the category of Neither having tried said weapons, or is under the principle belief that they only died because the color of the guys gun is gold.

"As for trying it out cos it's free? There's so many free games out there nowadays but your time is limited. Will you eat any free food i serve into your mouth? "

I love analogies. It seems to be a favorite past time of Naysayers to come up with creative ways of trying insult someone's opinion of a product. Food my friend is not a luxury, it is required to live. In the case of games they are for entertainment. You don't need games to live.

Now let me tell you why my recommendation holds more credibility than yours. You say go to a third party site to find out about a game. Well given that its third party the validity of any information presented is called in to serious questioning.

If anything a person having interest in a specific genre is more than enough a reason to pick up the game and try. I hardly believe that someone looking for a new Free Game looks at a random list and picks. What I do believe is that they lock down a genre they want which makes things much easier. In the case of APB, right now their is nothing else like it. Sure other Free shooters may exist but APB is very unique in its approach.
