Things over in ArcheAge's neck of the woods may seem quiet these days, but rest assured that the XL Games crew is hard at work on making the game the best it can be while spreading the word about it. Over on the ArcheAge blog, news about the continuing beta process and upcoming conventions has been laid out in one convenient place.
First up, XL Games is preparing a fourth closed beta test for sometime before the end of the year. Expectations are that this will happen in November, although no official announcement has been made.
ArcheAge will be making an appearance at two upcoming events as well. At G-Star, XL Games is forgoing a public booth for a private one in an effort to court business support for the game. ArcheAge's Chinese publisher will be showing off a demo of the game's character creation, questing system, and PvP at the Tencent Game Carnival in November.

@Grumms I guess people thought I was trolling? I was implying it's rare to actually look forward to a Korean game, yet for the first time, they are rolling out something pretty cool looking.
I guess Archage is in line to having a terrible community already. Guess I won't be looking forward to it.

In all seriousness, this game is shaping up nicely and I might try to get in on the Korean version, too.

Hope this continues to improve. They are showing a lot of good things. I'm not even a PvP hog but I wouldn't mind romping around in this world for awhile alongside TOR as a maintainance day alternative. :)
Great potential!

Yeah. I really hope for this game.
If XLGames pull it off, it might be first mmorpg in a long time that I might subscribe for a long time.
Really bit tired to hop between games. I would love to subscribe to one game for like years...

I had a lot of interest in this game when I thought it was a sandbox. Now it doesn't seem as 'sandboxy' as everyone originally thought.

Well people just had wrong assumptions. XL Games was preety straight from the start.
This game will have alot of themepark in it, but still will have alot more sandboxisch features than any WoW-clone.
Don't try to hope for second UO. Think rather as better Vanguard with more freedom/sandboxich feel and with PvP.

This game looks really great.
I want to saddle up my jennet and ride off into the mountainside to establish my homestead, where I will grow pumpkins and herd sheep. In time, I will build myself a grand villa with a lakeside terrace (for me) and a wide, tree-lined boulevard (for my sheep).
This will be the most relaxing experience of my MMO life.

Please be the sandbox-y goodness of our dreams! I hope they decide to share this game with the Western world one day. I can wait out the period of time it would take to localize it, I think...
