Riot releases new art and screenshots for League of Legend's Graves

Riot Games recently released its latest League of Legends champion, and the ranged damage-dealer known as Graves has proved popular with players thus far. The company is looking to keep its new gunslinger in the spotlight, and to that end it has released several new pieces of concept art as well as a gaggle of screenshots of Graves in action.

The one constant in all the shots -- aside from various versions of the BFG9000 -- is damage, and whether the new champion is throwing smokebombs, spraying cone nukes via his buckshot ability, or chasing down other champions who've decided to run away, he'll be pumping out a lot of damage (and he'll look good doing it). Those two other pictures are his skins not concept art and they have been out since middle of last week.

This news is a bit old. If you wanna cover League of Legends, you should get someone for it :)

Every new champion they release gets the same treatment. They even release videos of them. (which probably should have been included in post).

This is unbearably old news.

Why the grief on Jef? This news was new to me... I don't play LoL but have been wanting to try it out.

PS... not everyone is up-to-the-minute on LoL news.

Also, this press release came out about 2 hours before this post went live.

Y'all need to chill out. Who cares if they areht up to the minute, or evenup to the week in lol news. Its still pretty awesome they are covering LoL

Graves is popular and Riot wanna keep the advertisement going by releasing PR.

Really annoys me when ppl jump the gun.

I loved the original DoTA on WC3, and after watching a couple of the videos I feel like I'd like to give this a shot. How friendly is it to newbies? And how grindy is it? It looks like you have to grind XP for persistent stats? How much a disadvantage are new players at?

Players PVP are matched with PPL around their level, so the disadvantage is not that big.

Community is a hit and miss. A lot of trolls, from level one to ranked game (from what I was told by my ranked friends).

Advice is to start PVP from level one so you can get the skill up with players with less experience (i started pvp at lvl 15 ish and the learning curve was a lot bigger).

@Tyrang How do you lvl up without PvP? Is there PvE too?

yeah you can fight co-op vs bots to get the hang of champions and how to play. i suggest starting with beginner bots, then intermediate, then players.

Differences in opinion i guess, I felt like playing with bots will nurture bad habits, plus it is easier to learn in low lvl pvp, since others are equally bad for most part.

The bot games are good for trying out new champions tho.
