someone should do a research on how much this collectors kit actually costs to make it, distribute it, and what actual profit for it is. This way we can have the complainers actually base their thinking on facts and not bong water.

I'm somewhat disappointed for one particular reason -- one of my 'ingrained habits', so to speak, is that I always want to buy as 'complete' a game as possible, special/vanity items and pre-order bonuses included. This is the reason why I'll usually hold off pre-ordering something until I see which distributor has the most exclusive digital content to go with the game.

This, so far, has been the only CE that I couldn't buy due to price and that would have normally not been a problem if we'd also gotten the option of a 'digital-only CE', at a lower price (in the vein of the RIFT did -- you got all the digital goodies and you could pay more for some physical items if you ordered the boxed CE). I know, the in-game store will probably only have vanity items, but again, that's my habit -- I kind of want every bit of digital content there is, while not caring one whit for the physical goods.

Oh well. Maybe they'll offer access to it for some sort of upgrade fee months down the road, but I can see some measure of uproar on the part of the crowd who paid an arm and a leg now, if that were to be the case.

Does anyone know if Bioware has pulled their heads out of their arses and started offering a "collectors edition" without the piece of crap statue?????

I want a game BOX because I have a feeling the manual is gonna be huge like the original wow manua( i looove game manuals lol)and having the box is just a great feeling for me! BUT, I dont want to have to buy the digital collectors edition to get all the extra bonsues.

I mean,m think about it. The digital collectors edition(with bonsues) is DOUBLE the price of the box copy without any bonuses. They should be offering a box copy WITH bonsues. Or a spearate fee we can pay online to have bonuses attached to our account we created from the boxed copy.

I have a feeling every1 who gets the boxed collectors edition will have a HUGE ADVANTAGE because of that special STORE they will have access to.

Speaking of which.... anyone who is playing/has played beta, know whats offered in that special store??

SWTOR in 2 months people!!

I'm looking for any RP-friendly, lore loving, and fun-loving guilds on BOTH SIDES to join. Send me a link to your recruitment page or ur email address. I never joined a guild pre-launch, but wanted to give it a shot of the people were a good crowd.

Any sized guild is fine, so long as its not a level/dungeon rushing, grinding or farming friendly guild, I want nothing to do with that lol

GL all S!

@(Unverified) I got the Digital Deluxe edition on Origin, it comes with:

Flare Gun: Fires flares into the air.
Training Droid: Hovers at your side for combat assistance.
HoloDancer: Project your own holographic dancer.
HoloCam: Keep visual records of in-game adventures.
STAP (Single Trooper Aerial Platform): Sleek and unique in-game vehicle.

It's not nearly as good as CE but it still has neat goodies. The vehicle really sold me over.

I guarantee you the CE shop alone will be worth it. On top of the fact that you start out with a mount, and frankly that helps tons as well. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase.

@Ahgasbane

You dont start with the mount, you get that at 25, though it will be in your inventory.

Stupid mechanic, ship at 10-14, personal vehicle at 25.

@Ahgasbane I have a feeling the shop will be irrelevant fluff. We'll have to see, I suppose. There's a fairly hype-filled fake sense of "special" attached to the CE for this game that I just wasn't gonna fall for this time. I'm glad I have the extra 70 bucks to spend on Scotch.

I have to point out one thing i saw at a convention........ was that there are yellow saber stones ingame so that color will be available to everyone, not just the CE folks, plus the starter color for saber weps, swords, etc is yellow.

They need to pick a different color.

@Graill440 Supposedly it is yellow with a black outline. This would be different than the standard yellow.

I ended up with the Digital Deluxe Version. As far as CE...A statue, a CD, and a book....big deal. Obviously there are some folks out there that will appreciate this stuff and more power to them. Just not for me. Truth be told a standard edition would have probably been fine. I guess I should be thankful that it doesn't come with a panda.

Whip out your moms wallet, idiots.

I have yet to preorder only because I cant decide if I want Digital Deluxe or this CE. Plus side to digi deluxe is that i get all in game items and save $70 for more game time. However, the statue is awesome - Im a big SITH fan.
