the forums and absolutly up in ragen with untold amounts of people threatening to quit.

its like Cata, just 100x worse, and without even giving the expac a chance

looks like someone gave Blizzard A LOT of rope and they used it to hang themselves...

i think people need to take a long hard look at just how short-changed they were with the last expansion before they hand over more cash...but then they probably (in the majority) won't.

how many rehashes did u get this time ? how many raid tiers ? hmmm? hmmm ? some on sheeple!

the last expansion, designed from a business standpoint to draw old players back and increase player retention was an unmitigated disaster in terms of fulfilling its aims.

WoW died with Arthas and they should really quit poking it with a stick to simulate signs of life but then the only other alternative they have is to come up with something original....which blizzard is, quite frankly, shit at.

a play for the asian market ? where they make 6% of revenue and play a poor 3rd or 4th fiddle to indigenous games which are much, much bigger than WoW but unknown in the west and that ironically already have their own "kung-fu pandas" ?...its bullshit and a play that reeks of desperation to appease unknowing shareholders and suits higher up while they try and get "Titan" out the door (which being a "blizzard original" is very likely to be shit btw).

WoW used to be "cool". "real men" (well maybe not but y'know what i mean) wanted to play Orcs, Forsaken and Dwarfen warriors or valiant Human Paladins, and even the vicious NElfs of WC3 (which have never been given their due in WoW) now....now if this was 2005 again i wouldn't even pick this box up in the store.

watch the trailer again. even its own trailer tries to coast on the basis of what WAS.

Some aspects sound ok but taking away choices we have now does not. Part of what made the talent tree choices good is it let you ungrade at levels and feel the progression happening..

In cata they changed this to happen in every other level instead.. and took away spell purchase so that spells auto updated like what you are describing the talents doing.. this was a bad thing I'm thiniking. because it took away the reward/obvious upgrade at every level. You don't feel like you are making progress the way you used to; you don't feel like part of the process. nope you barely notice improvements now.. You might as well not do it if it isn't obvious to the player,

How exactily is this keeping people from all adopting the best builds for the task they choose.. I submit it doesn't.. It just changes how we all copy the best .. again. But mark me.. elitest jerks will have an update for the new tree with the best builds for each class for each task - and most serious players will either go there to get it or copy it from friend who have..

I had my fun with WoW and Blizzard has enough of my money. Healing monk is kind of a neat idea, but I'm not terribly enthusiastic about this. To be fair, it would have had to be pretty mind-blowing to draw me back at this point, after having lost interest a couple of years ago.

I was discussing this with a non-MMO-playing friend - just how silly it looks. They said they were actually interested in it, and that this is the kind of thing that might get them playing WoW. I was pretty shocked to hear it. Who knows? They might get some new players out of this. Angry Birds types.

Seems a pretty obvious tactic to appeal to the Asian market. I think they knew they would alienate the Western market but according to my crystal ball, once they draw in the Asian community with Pandas and martial arts, they plan on recapturing the western market with Emerald Dream as the next xpac.

Having not played WoW for a couple of years, I was actually tempted to come back and give Cataclysm a try......but not now!

What's funny is that in Cata they gave everyone 5 levels of content but when you'd mention it all the WoWtards would excuse it with the revamped old world. Well now they're giving everyone 5 levels of content again but not revamping outlands or northrend.

The thing is, they made this trailer that set it up to be so darn amazing. You defeated, X, Y, Z and now....you get pandas GJ!

They are trying to say that you shouldn't be stunned by the silliness of the pandas because we come in as Horde and Alliance all fighting and angry. Then we essentially destroy panda land or some crud that teaches us some lesson.

I guess the concept is that pandas look cute and innocent, and so when you destroy their cute little asian themed paradise it is supposed to be deep. Like they want to invoke lots of 'catharsis' or some such thing, which is very dangerous in many ways. Some people don't like to look inward, and they play this game to escape their everyday lives.

They are also trying to push that Pandas have always been in the lore and serious as well. Which might be true, but it still is an awfully goofy thing to do when you have tons of competition knocking on the door.

I feel like I am being punked, but I think Blizzard just pulled a Hastings.

There is ONE thing Blizzard needs to do and fast...

Make a Brewmaster Hero class. That would be insurance to prevent going full retard. Instead of making the brewmaster the tank tree for a monk, just make it the new Hero Class.

People have been wanting one, and now is that time to bring it. Panda Brewmasters, then you don't go Full Retard.

If no Brewmaster's, then it looks like a bunch of crazed warriors in the middle of full retard land...the tards being the panda's.
