question: Are previous characters going to be accessible when the game goes F2P? I stopped paying my sub when i heard it was going f2p so i could save the money.

I don't think they're going to wipe your characters clean, but I'm sure they'll have to be converted to the F2P level. Which means you'll lose a lot of features.

@JonBuck Not really. There actually isnt that much of a difference between a free account or a sub:

@JonBuck Characters will not be deleted.

If you remain a Subscriber (Gold), you keep everything you have, and do not lose anything. Marks and badges get converted to Dilithium (the new currency) automagically.

If you stop subscribing, to continue playing you must convert that character to a Silver character, which will then lose...something, which has not yet been specified.

However, it will probably be limited to what is on the F2P matrix on the main site.

The main thing is losing the additional Bridge Officer slots you get by rank, IMO.

@JonBuck I think its only common sense that if decide you want to play for free that you dont get as much as you do if you subscribe. Otherwise there would be no point in even having a subscription option. That is how every F2P hybrid MMO works. However free players still have the option to purchase however many additional slots they want.

@(Unverified) As a Lifetime member you get 400 Cryptic Points per month as a stipend. Basically everything in the Gold list.
