"is about the European World of Warcraft guild Blood Legion" They aren't a European guild they are on the US server Illidan and it alsoshows in the clip they are a US guild.

I would love to see this documentary. I don't play WoW anymore but these documentaries always interest me. =)

@Blndiebby My bad! I misunderstood the article. I'm not terribly familiar with the big-name WoW guilds these days ;P I'll change the wording accordingly. Thank you!

Hah as if raiders, and raider culture, weren't insufferable enough as it is.

This is all we need.

@ElfLove

Your snide tone is exactly the reason why I always laugh at people who complain about raiders being jerks.

I am going to give this a 9/10. This was a perfect explanation of how mmos work how guilds work and don't sometimes and the rush of the game. I have never wanted to play wow but i might give it a try.

really? 3 bucks to watch? that's the best business model they could come up with? free to watch with ads would have made more sense... who the hell is going to pay for this?

I could complain about the $3 fee to view being silly and not worth it, but who am I kidding, I wouldn't want to watch it anyway. That said, it's one thing to wiggle one's e-peen about one's video game achievements, it's quite another to make a documentary about it and slap a price tag on admission when it comes to being full of oneself.

The movie has nothing to do with epeen. It is a well executed doc about mmos and community. The story is told through the eyes of competitive players. If you play MMOs you will glad things like this are being made. 2.99 is the price of a coffee.

You know one would think that after second skin and the Raid they would stop making films like this, the only people that think this shit isn't embarrassing are the epeen slingers.

/Movie anoucers voice: In the world of competitive gaming twenty five sock poopers make yet another lame ass mockumantary that stereotypes gamers....while the industry as a whole turns it's back on competitive end game.

Well i at least feel like this could finally be a game documentary that's on to something or at least have some entertainment value without pissing everyone off, because it focuses on a specific topic, not an entire game in general. Who knows, maybe it's worth a watch.

If they become the world first, are they going to compare the accomplishment to winning a World Cup too?....

Uh, you guys that are reviewing the film without seeing it are missing the fact that not only is this a great documentary about mmos. Its a great documentary in general. Thank you for posting this Massively!

I guess if it's fun for them, you have to respect that.

In order to be world first at a raid you would likely have to...

a) already have full epic gear from all previous raids
b) race/grind through expansion content within 12 hours of launch.
c) Scream and shout at how stupid your friends are.
d) not sleep, work or play other games.

I guess there must be achievements awarded in game for world firsts? otherwise how would you know after all that if someone else did it before you?

Oh I forgot the most important of all for WoW.....

3) Install a bunch of mods that remove the need for you to use judgement or skill.

@FrostPaw
i guess you didnt watch the (rather good) doc then. As it clearly shows that the top guild are the opposite of you hysterical noob guilds ;) there is less shouting and swearing as in your average sissy-guild for sure. It's e-sport and you dont laugh at icehockey players for taking their sport serious, do you? And no, its not about time - its about dedication. they are just better than you ;)
