World of Tanks boxed editions landed in American brick-and-mortar stores last month, and a new press release indicates that European retailers are about to join the party.
Deep Silver has secured the publishing rights to Wargaming.net's World War II-based action MMO, and the company will be bringing the game to the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Greece, Benelux, and Nordic countries in short order.
The package features the game itself plus bonus content in the form of in-game currency, premium account access, and a premium German tank. The World of Tanks box will cost £7.99 and is scheduled for a November 15th release.

Sounds neat, but tbh I don't think it's worth it.
Premium tanks tend to just smack a big bullseye on your head saying "I BOUGHT THIS TANK BECAUSE IT WAS THE BIGGEST/MOST EXPENSIVE ONE ON THE STORE AND I HAVE NEVER PLAYED THIS GAME BEFORE, SHOOT ME" XD

Horrible company, pay-to-win, tries to bribe it's players to vote for it in "best-of" categories at industry shows, pathetic. Makes a person wonder if the Russian-mob are the real people in charge, seems that kind of ethos running it.

Game is horrible and its PAY TO WIN!
If you don't pay, have fun grinding out 10 hour days every day for a year to get the top tank of a single tech tree. Currently three country's. US and the USSR have 4 tech trees, Germany has 5. US and USSR are getting a 5th tech tree sometime in the next decade.
Tech trees are artillery, tank destroyer, heavy tank and medium tank. Germany has a second heavy tank tree. To get to the best piece of armor in any tree requires insane amounts of play time.
Even when you do pay, the grind is still awful. You need to grind experience AND credits. Credits buy new tanks, but your also using credits to repair your tanks and buy ammo after each round, so its a constant two steps forward, one step back situation.
ONE game mode. Its Count Strike with tanks, that's best to describe it.
The game has the worst balance I have ever seen. Artillery has a god's eye view of the map and they fire what are basically nuclear missiles that travel at light speed. Tier 10 artillery will one shot anything below tier 10 and two shot a tier 10 tank. Artillery is what the scrubs play because its the most insanely overpowered weapon in any game I have seen.
Artillery compeltly ruins this game, its so bad. Its like playing people with a wall hack and aim bot set to 100% head shot. It's so awful. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME!!!!

i can see youve played a lot of WoT, unferht
1.fyi no such thing as tier 10 arty. arty maxes at tier 8, and if you pay attention while playing you learn how to avoid being hit by arty.
2. no one is forcing you to get a tier 10 tank. you should be enjoying playing at every tier. what you call a grind is what other people call pvp matches.
to each their own i guess. i enjoy pvp, if you want a pve mmo this is not it.

You cant avoid being hit by artillery "splash" damage. Ya that's right, shrapnel destroys tanks.
I have played the game allot and I know how bad it truly is. I have been playing since beta up until two months ago. The places that artillery can not reach are few and far between. For some unknown reason, the developers lover artillery and the whole design philosophy behind the game is: "artillery does most of the damage, and all the tanks are essentially only used for spotting". What this basically means is your T10 Maus, which is the top Germany heavy in the first heavy tree, is nothing more than a well armed artillery spotter. Artillery has all the fun, on a team of 15, 3 artillery players will get 75% of the kills and do the most damage all the while being totally hidden from the enemy and never getting touched. Thats if you win, if you lose artillery is just about always the last to die which affords them the opportunity to leave the battle early, basically this means not having to deal with any frustration of losing. "Leave Battle" as it is, incurs NO PUNISHMENT in any way, and yes people do abuse it allot in game.

All I am reading here who are complaining about grinding, arty's ect ect is "i sucked at this game". This isnt a fantasy MMO. The point is to find tanks you enjoy playing with and go at it. Grinding? lol go home
