I really don't think Diablo would work well with a console controller - but since Blizzard only cares about money, I have no doubt they'll release console versions anyway. More players = more profit from real-money auctions.

@Spacegrass

Why not? The button presses are bare-bone. You aren't talking a lot of skills being used at once like in WoW or LotRO, and seeing as past Diablo and diablo-esque titles have played rather well on the PS1 and up, no reason this wouldn't work.

@Spacegrass hm? I think it is totally suited for a controller...a controller has far more buttons than you'd need for a diablo game.

@Spacegrass

If they make it work like Dungeon Siege 3 then it will be fine, any other setup might be a bit crap though.

@Spacegrass

The original Diablo on PlayStation (also original) was awesome. The rogue in particular benefited a lot from the control scheme.

Why is Firefall in Not So Massively? Isn't it a proper MMO?

@bobfish The makers don't want to call it an MMO, so until we see gameplay first hand I think it'll be difficult to pin down whether it's a proper MMO or just a massive online game with instanced open worlds (like Diablo). Until then, we'll probably continue to cover FireFall in normal news posts and also in Not So Massively.
