Guild Wars fans, have you finished the first 17 quests in Winds of Change? We hope so, because the next round has arrived! The conflict between the Ministry of Purity and the gangs of Kaineng continues with what is being called Guild Wars' largest content expansion to date! The focus moves from eliminating the Afflicted to watching the Ministry rise in power as its motives become more unclear.
Part two of Winds of Change will bring 11 new quests, five new respawn zones, and quite a few extra scenes hidden here and there. Players will also encounter a familiar face -- Miku the Assassin from War in Kryta has returned.
We're anxious to check out this new content here at Massively, and we've got a surprise Livestream so we can bring you along for the ride. Head to our Livestream channel at 6:00 p.m. EDT today for a first live look at Winds of Change. Even better, some of the ArenaNet team will be joining us in chat to talk over the new content and answer your questions: Lead Designer John Stumme, Programmer Joe Kimmes, Game Designer Andrew Patrick, and QA master John Foreman.
Check out the gallery below for some brand-new screenshots, join us at 6:00 EDT for a livestream of some of the new content, and enjoy Winds of Change!

Pity you have to do around a dozen quests (which come in two flavors: follow the NPC to defeat set spawn points and go to a point to await wave after wave after wave of foes, sometimes both) filled with bullshit mobs to get to it. :/

Yeah, I have decided to sit these updates out. I think I reached my limit of gaming prowess/gimmick builds with War In Kryta and I just don't have it in me to meta anymore. I'll catch the plot summary on the wiki.

I really need to get off my ass and start playing this.
I almost feel ashamed for not really starting a game I've owned for a few years.

Don't be! I started playing semi-casually a month ago, and thanks to Rubi and the great folks in MVOP and the alliance, I am nearly done with both the Prophecies and Nightfall story lines. After that all I have left is EoTN, Factions and Beyond! There is plenty of time to finish the major parts of the game before GW2.

I am sure going to miss this game when it finally fades into obscurity. :(
I am sure GW2 is going be great, but I really like the way GW1 is structured. I had hoped that Neverwinter (Cryptic) was going to be structured similarly, but who knows when (or if) that Neverwinter will ever be finished or whether it will be any good.
Fiddling with hero builds through the War in Kryta content has been a blast. It's challenging content, but it needed to be now that all players have access to 7 heroes. I really appreciate the way ArenaNet has kept up with GW1.

Does Massively still have a guild? I logged in today to check out new content but found that I am in a dead guild. A guild to join would be nice.

@h4ngedm4n We do! There's a bit of a wait to join at the moment because the roster is full, but it usually takes less than a week. Here are all the details: http://guildwars.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=496692
