ArcheAge may be a ways off from its North American and European debut, but that's not stopping fans of XL Games' upcoming sandpark from scouring the far corners of the web for the latest news.
Today we've got a few new screenshots for you to ogle, and they cover everything from the fantasy title's stunning naturescapes, to some newly revealed personal-sized boats, to what appears to be one of the hang-gliders from the ChinaJoy trailer released earlier this year. Fan site ArcheAge Online has the details, and the source article says that XL is teasing these shots as a quick preview of what players can expect during the fourth phase of Korean closed beta testing.
CBT4 doesn't have a fixed schedule as of yet, but we'll keep you up to date on it, as well as all the latest ArcheAge news as it happens.

This game is absolutely gorgeous. I really hope it ends up turning out well.

How 'bout teasing us with a Closed Beta date...

@Faction 3
There already in Closed beta....Closed beta 3 just got over with actually. Target release is Dec 2011 in Korea. XLgames has hinted at an early 2012 release for the west coast.
They aren't westernizing the game, just translating. So it is plausible to have this game in that time frame

Yikes. This is one of the games that will have to prove itself (well after release) whether or not it's viable in the west. I had my hopes up, but now the feeling is gone...
Another way to look at it... this is GREAT news for Korea. Great job and good luck guys!

This thing is still several years away from an EU/NA version, right?

Depends when and who they find as a publisher. So far no one is willing to put up the money for it, much like no one was willing to pay for TERA.
So again, like BHS made En Masse for TERA, XL Games will probably create a subsidiary company to publish ArcheAge.

Easily one of my most anticipated MMOs of the past 5 years. Watched this game on several streams when CBT3 was happening. It was absolutely STUNNING.

Hmm ... i think it could be worthwhile to learn Korean.

You know how long it takes these companies to get a Korean MMO localized? Don't expect it in 2012 or maybe Q4 of that year.
I hate to be the party-pooper even though I'm highly anticipating this game.

after all this time .. still subpar to AoC by far (graphically)

@(Unverified) that's highly subjective opinion.. I dislike AoC character models (too plastic-y), HATE animations in it (jumping... YUCK) and overall palette is just boring.
ArcheAge character and mount animations look smooth and lovely, character models (at least for the humans I will play) look fine and overall palette is very nice and cheerful, like I want it in a videogame.
