the word "carebear" is not used nearly enough at Massively. Props to you.

No, you were right the first time. All PvPers are maladjusted psychopaths. IMO anyone who gets their thrills from ganking, griefing and killing other RL players "for fun", rather than mindless computer controlled mobs, has a major screw loose.

@GW2waiting
That only really applies to sickos who enjoy griefing players that are not interested in pvp... But there are usually always pve servers so such players CAN choose not to participate in pvp. If you're playing a game that has forced pvp, you should be prepared to get ganked by people with a tiny wiener!

I get pissed off at the completely false claim that PvP does not have a static challenge. When is the last time you faced a wizard that melee'd you? when did the tank start throwing lightning bolts? PvP is as static as PvE, PvP players are limited to a set of abilities just like the npc's, players figure out sequences and strategies that work and more or less repeat them until they get nerfed.

PvP done every day for weeks on end is the same as PvE done every day for weeks on end. The only difference is a PvP'er needs to feel more special and likes to put down PvE'ers by claiming they have more of a challenge. There are many rubbish/predictable pvp'ers out there too and pvp'ers certainly do make mistakes which provide no challenge at all.

For once I want a PvP;er to just admit they prefer PvP without trying to justify it by comparing it to a negative PvE experience, because it's just pompous bullshit.

"I'll only throw the term "carebear" at those who think all PvPers are maladjusted psychopaths."

I prefer to throw the term at those whose idea of PvP is to grief players 20 levels below them, or whose idea of an equal-level contest is to fight a single player of their level with the support of several friends. They are the true carebears.

Nice article on PvE tho', thanks for that.

in most games in PvE i do different quests, different missions, different stories. PvP is a massive gear grind in which i continuously fight in the same maps/regions/zones, against the same players with the same abilities to get ridiculous coins. When I level ,there are no new stories, there's just more of the same gear grind for points/armor/ranks.

Are you PvPing against bots? Every PvP engagement in Fallen Earth is different. If both sides always used the same tactics it would be static, but they don't. Both sides have to adapt to what the other side does. No plan ever survives contact with the enemy. PvE is always the same, because the NPCs can't adapt to and counter your strategies. You are trying to make PvP sound more simplistic than it actually is, and you've failed.
